Breakfast Topic: what are you looking forward to?

We've heard a lot lately about the changes -- many negative -- that came with the 2.0.10 patch. But let's look on the bright side for now, and talk about upcoming changes (or possible changes) that we're looking forward to. The next expansion? The mythical hero class? Guild or player housing? Or perhaps you're happy with the game just as it is and would be happy with more of the same. Me, I'm waiting for class balance to do another 360 and put priests on top of the world again. (Yep, some days I'm just a hopeless optimist!)

A new class would be a great addition to the game, but there are a couple of problems with introdusing them:
1) there would be a bunch of lvl 1 noobs running around. Thatt would mean that no one would be playing a higher lvl and running dundons would be nearly impossible.
2) Blizzard probably would not just let you get a new class in a patch, most likely they would make you pay another 49.95 to get the expantion.

One very simple thing I would like to see added is a guild bank. I know they mentioned something about this being in the pipeline previously, but it would make the life of many guilds a hell of a lot easier. Hopefully we should see it in a patch before long.

Sorry, had to stick that in there.

Guilneas, Grim Bathol, Emerald Dream, Undermine, Maelstrom, K'aresh, Argus, NORTHREND!, playing Ethereals, ALL the troll races, Mok'Nathal though they are extinct, Nathrezim, SATYR!

I doubt that they'd introduce a new class this soon after BC. There still arn't that many high level Horde Pallys and Alliance Shamen going around.
I'd like to see a few more zones opened up rather the the continual roll out of instances. Some new mid-level instances wouldn't go amiss though. The current ones are getting a bit boring.

I would really love to see more social and roleplay content in the game : a good housing system, with guild cities, and PvP. (but I must be dreaming :p)

Hero classes.
Please, Blizzard, introduce some customization into the game. Make me unique from the next raiding hunter or druid or whatever.
Itemization and specialization do NOT equal customization.

NO PLAYER HOUSING!

With how insane the attunements are for the current BC raids, I would simply like some more no-attunement-required 25 or 10 man raids.
And Blizzard better make some new areas for players between 20 and 60 for the next expansion. Going through Azuremyst/bloodmyst and Eversong/Ghostlands is great and all, but as soon as you're done with that stuff, depression sets in when you realise you're back to the same old crap until you're high enough to go to outland.
Shat Mar 10th 2007 11:19AM
@11 Gruul's Lair requires no attunement. And if you think about it, the Kara attunement really isn't that bad. It doesn't require revered with anything.
Adam Mar 10th 2007 12:44PM
@12: True, there's also magtheridon and kazzak which don't require attunements I don't think (kazzak only requires a flying mount to get to him). But I just meant that if they come out with some more raids, I want them to ease up on the attunements a bit. I don't want to grind rep just to get into heroic mode dungeons, just to get attuned for other stuff, which is requried to get attuned for something else, etc.
It's not like i'm in a guild that's doing the raid progression at the moment but that attunement chart for mount hyjal just makes me not want to even start that whole process.

If you really think about it, with all of the money that Blizzard makes from the game, they give us very little content in relation to companies that make far less from their players. We really should demand more.

New priest tree talents. I would like to see light well and circle of healing completely removed from the holy tree. =[ It probably won't happen but I can hope...
Wari Mar 10th 2007 4:51PM
I want abilities for my spider pet.
V3T_TOO Mar 10th 2007 5:14PM
New engineering abilities. I would love to have stuff I could actually sell to others that are non-engineers. Or something that will not backfire or fail to work when we need it (jumper cables). I can't just keep making scopes and guns. I bet bombs would sell fine and some trinkets. Or even better yet. More trinket slots for engineers!

@16 I totally agree, I think a general profession overhaul is in order. I won't get too much into it considering this topic was just recently talked about ;) but all professions (minus maybe jewelcrafting) may need work.
Cyryus Mar 10th 2007 10:29PM
@7 - I totally agree with you, I create my hunter 2 years ago... thinking he was unique... but EVERYONE looks like me! Wheren't they suppose to add a barber shop in the game? I thought i read something like that many many moons ago! Lots of the "rumor" stuff came true, i just hope we can customize our characters (not by just armor) alot more.
Skipomir Mar 11th 2007 8:47PM
How about being able to give our characters last names?
Hard to say what they can add. I think they need to come out with another expansion that lets us go to lvl 80.
I also agree with a previous post about adding new content (or instances) for levels 20 - 60.
They should also create a pvp system that balances out. Nothing like being in a pick up group against a group of seasoned pvp'ers to make you swear off pvp forever.
Perhaps a tournament based system where you actually earned some kind of pvp experience / honor ranking. Then you pit people of similar honor rankings against each other.
PvP is fun when it's challenging, it sucks when you're getting wiped.
