5000g is just too much for an epic flying mount

The thing is this...

1.) For 5000g you are getting the TRAINING, not the mount. The mount is only 200g.

2.) It goes more than just "a little bit faster".

Your normal flying mount goes +60% speed. Your epic flying mount goes +280% speed. That's almost five times faster.

It's a huge boost in speed, and with as large as Outland is and as much time we are all likely to spend in it in the coming year, I really don't think it's that bad.
