I hit 70 a few weeks ago, and spent the next week putting in 2.5 days of playtime finishing up all the quests I could find and selling ore, shards and dust on the AH until I'd raised the necessary cash. Did that as a shadow priest, btw, on a PvP server.

Was it worth it? To me, definitely. I love speed and convenience, and the epic flying mount gives me both. Money just keeps flowing like a river in Outland, as long as you don't waste it on a bunch of stupid stuff.
