WoW Moviewatch: Falling race
This is the first time I've seen this particular in-game sport, and it looks a little dangerous. The goal of a falling race? Jump off a tall object and stop yourself just shy of the ground (using a class ability like mage's ice block or druid's flight form). The player closest to the ground wins. So what are you doing still reading this -- go find something tall to jump off of!

I like to do the same thing, but with flying mounts.
Mount up, fly up, dismiss your mount, and the person with the lowest HP left wins.

@1: To be completely fair the winner must be the one with the lowest % HP left.
Otherwise a well geared and full buffed warrior would have a difficult time to win a naked mage ;P

The best part of that movie is the credits where they thank the two people who did it without a stopping ability.

AKA Basejumping.
For added fun and without having to be level 70, get the helmet quest reward in Netherstorm that launches you into the air, or go jump on the trampoline at the Bring the Egg quest npc in Nagrand and cancel the slowfall buff .

On my Druid I have been practicing "Basejumping" from flight form. Its nice in PVP mode to fall right behind someone and start to pumpel the hell out of them before they realize someone is there.

Something I have wanted to do, but haven't been able to organize yet as I have not reached 70 with any character, is to create a body storm over an alliance town. Just get a bunch of people together, fly over Honor Hold, and dismount. Several seconds later people in Honor Hold would see Undead, Tauren, Orc, Troll, and Blood Elf bodies raining from the sky.
This is also what I intend to do with my main while I lvl an alt, leaving his corpse on top of an alliance building somewhere for a while. I have 35 lvls left before that happens though.

On Uther, we've actually been practicing it in the purer form - which limits it to mages, priests, and people with parachute cloaks or other slowfall devices:
Take your flying mounts to maximum height. On agreed signal (usually 3rd party), dismount.
First person to the ground ALIVE wins (which means, of course, that you have to slow-fall at the last possible moment).

Am I the only one that thinks these "movies" are boring? In a "you had to be there" sort of way? The idea is great, the story is great (about the jumping/falling/stopping thing) but the video? Meh I say!
