Raiders use consumables for encounters. Hardcore raiders use consumables on encounters even when they're not necessary to win. Really, really hardcore raiders use consumables to win their guild's game of musical chairs in Karazhan. This video comes from the guild Soul Society on Deathwing, and is a good reminder that no matter what, you can always find weirdness and fun in WoW's instances.

Its things like this that make me love the Guild aspect. When you get a good one, its just so much more fun. Last night after finally downing Aran and then doing the chess event, we called it a night. Most of us though stayed behind and played 3 games of chess against each other. I'm going to suggest musical chairs next time.

I used to have a guild that would do things like that. My current
guild doesn't, but I've been suggesting things for months.
