I leveled both a priest and a paladin to 60. Priests, when spec'ed for DPS, have superior DPS to a pally spec'ed for DPS, pre-60. Leveling a shadow priest to 60 was as easy as getting a hunter to 60, IMHO. I only wish I could say the same about the paladin.

Of course, if you mean non-Smite holy priest, then you only have yourself to blame for gimping your ability to level your character.
