April news from Blizzard Europe

Most of Blizzard Europe's announcements today mirror the main Blizzard announcements, which we've already seen. However, from the European site, we get an extra tidbit of Black Temple information: complete information on the new Priests of Baa'ri faction! What do we know about these priests? Well, they were closely connected with the priesthood of the Temple of Karabor, now known as the Black Temple, and now they seek new allies to help reclaim the Temple of Karabor from Illidan's clutches.
And now on to the important stuff: faction rewards. Depending on how friendly you are with them, the Priest of Baa'ri may be willing to sell you patterns to craft holy resistance gear of all armor types, a new type of spellthread with +healing and holy resistance, and an armor kit with holy resistance. Does this mean we're going to have to worry about holy damage in the Black Temple? Well, I suppose I can start getting concerned about collecting resistance gear after I finish the attunement chain...

First thing that comes to mind is that it will suck even more for non-Shadow priests in PVP, if players start wearing Holy resistence sets. I can see a revolt of truely epic proportions if Priests don't get fixed/buffed before this damage mitigation hits live realms.
For Paladins trying to do damage, same problem - they'll go back to being laughed at for attempting DPS if this holy mitigation being introduced is too high.

April Fool's much?

Don't forget, it's not just April Fool's day, but Palm Sunday. Holy resistance is a must!

I wouldn't worry too much about the resistances in PvP, and I'm a paladin myself. If someone is going to carry around a whole set of holy resistance gear just to fight a holy priest or paladin, they're probably not much of a threat anyway.
And is this a joke, or not? It seems legit to me, unless I'm just missing some of the little winks that are common to the other 4/1 pranks.

If this isn't some sort of April Fool's/Palm Sunday joke, I can see Holy Resistance gear being a good thing. Since Hordies have been able to create paladins, I've been the victim of bubbling wimps blasting me with consecration. It just levels the playing field a bit more in pvp, especially for the melee classes. Plus, since this is 70+ content, Holy-specced characters will more than likely be getting +Holy damage drops to offset any "damage mitigation" that may arise from finally being protected from this last spell type.
My only question is: Will the Argent Dawn +5 to all resistances shoulder enchant add Holy protection to the mix?

If this is not a joke, then it pokes a hole in the "major" flaw of the Black Temple attunement, and thats the holy resistance trinket.
The only thing now to make it "workable" is to change Primal Nethers so they are not BoP.

For those who don't realize this is obviously an April Fool's joke..
The rewards are identical to Aldor's except all fire resistance has been replaced with holy resistance.

It doesn't make sense for the Black Temple to have a lot of Holy magic to resist. If it's anything, it'll be Shadow, and maybe some Fire.
Fortunately, most resist gear that Blizz has created so far for BC has only one real purpose: surviving a lot of spell damage. The only stats they ever put on it are Stamina and sometimes Intellect, so there's little danger of having everyone running around wearing lots of high-quality resist gear like they did for MC.
