If there were tourist posters around Azeroth that read "Visit scenic Booty Bay!" this is the picture they'd have to display. "The city is a bustling port of commerce on the outskirts of the lush jungles of Stranglethorn. Enjoy shopping rivaled by no other city in Azeroth, thrilling jungle tours, and a vast array of hunting and fishing opportunities! Small print reads:
"Ganking just outside Booty Bay's entrance is not covered by the default travel insurance policy."

and dont forget, if theres a lvl ?? on the mast, best not to get too close.

It's certainly a nice town. Very safe. Only Gadgetzan can even try to come close to it for safety. Ratchet is downright lawless for the Alliance. If you take that boat from Booty Bay, prepare to not return on the same boat without having been mind-controlled and killed by the Horde a few times.
Oh and it'd be greater if the Neutral AH was used for more than just selling pages of the "Green Hills of Stranglethorn". Booty Bay seems to only get big business from 30-45 players and on Sundays for all the fishermen hoping to win the contest.

Pretty much the reverse on my server, RogueJedi- the boat from Ratchet to Booty Bay is probably the most dangerous spot- hands down, on our server. If a horde player gets on the boat at Ratchet, you better be flanked by your level 60+ guildmates. Provided you survive the trip there, you're definitely not going back that way.
Whenever I take the boat, I set my hearth to Ratchet, and hearth back when my business is done. Not worth the costs (time and money) of getting ganked on the boat.
