WoW Insider returns to Xfire for "Life After 70"

The good folks at Xfire have asked us back to their "Two-Handed Sword" debate club (those of you who joined us last time will remember how much fun it was), and this time they're moving us up in the world: I'm going to moderate. Yes indeedy! The topic is "Life After 70," and they've got some great guests on. Teza from World of Raids is returning as well, and because they're making a point to focus on European players this time around, Awake from Nihilum will be on, as well as Nopher from Last Resort. And the list of guests is finished off by Evilseed from the very informative Wowhead.com.
The chat will be all online, so to join us, you'll have to download and install Xfire, but don't worry, it's free and extremely simple. If you do join us, you'll be able to "listen" in live, as well as join the Open room chat to talk with other players about what we're discussing (that room was even crazier than the main room last time-- I loved it). So the chat will be next Wednesday, April the 11th, at 2pm Eastern time. That's 20:00 CEST if you're in Europe-- they're giving you guys a chance to have a nice primetime even this time. Please join up with us and say hello-- I want lots of WoW Insider representation!
And as I said, this time around I'm not just a guest, I'll be moderating. That means I have to ask questions, I'm pretty sure, so if you have any questions or discussion ideas you'd like me to bring to the chat, please post them in the comments below, and if I choose your question, I'll even mention your name during the chat as a WoW insider reader. Thanks! See you on Xfire next Wednesday!

I have to say; I hit 70 on my one and only toon and almost immediately started wondering why I was still playing the game. Haven't been back much since.

Umm, I care. Maybe the question to ask about Life After 70 is whether there is life after 70 at all.

I still have skills to lvl, factions to gain and gold to farm for the epic flyer. I can pretty much accomplish all 3 at once if i am smart about it. When that gets boring i go finish off a quest line or play with my group of friends. I do miss how nice dinging felt but i still have lots of things to do.

I'm only 66, but it looks like there are so many things that you can't even start til 70 that it can't possibly be boring. Then again, I was rarely bored at 60. Um, hrmm... I dun think I have a question tho'. I hope there will be a transcript, I'll be stuck in the office then. Enjoy your moderating!

I care as well. As I'm not a heavy raid player, I'm wondering what 70 holds for me as well. I am currently holding at level 66 and in no rush to cap.

Given whom they've invited to talk, I suspect that this isn't going to be a "what to do at 70 if you don't raid" kind of talk. :)

Hey man, I'm the *moderator*. I can make it whatever kind of talk you guys want me to make it :)

Please question the panel about tradeskills (engineering especially, the need for alchemy/herbalism), gear itemization (why do 25 man raid epics almost pale in comparison to level 115 blues and karazhan/pvp items), and most importantly the value of player housing (along with the idea of player made herb gardens to lessen the time sink of raiding)
Thanks!

Myself personally I found very little life after 70. The game really destroyed what WAS the guild i was with for a long time. At 70 all i found was grinding. Grinding for rep, grinding for gear, grinding for epics, grinding for gold, and all of this was all grind for better gear or better enchants for gear. OR it was all grinding for attunements to areas you will then grind for better gear. In relation to this though the guild i was a part of was destroyed because instances with a less number cap of players began causing the excluding of people in the guild from raids they would have liked to go on. This helped to created a segregation within the guild i was with. I lost interest in even trying to get attuned for karazahn. I wasn't going to be raiding with the people I had up until that point anyway. I began to ask myself that how much equipment was enough enjoyment? Everything that you end up doing with the exception of mounts leads to gear, gear, gear, better gear, or better enchants / gems FOR GEAR. I enjoyed this for a long while but at 70 It all began to go downhill FAST. Anyone else find that their guild began getting fractured?
