Around Azeroth: Meet the Netherwhelp

I know -- the first couple of days after the release of the Burning Crusade you probably saw these little beasties everywhere. But I suppose the new has worn off on them a bit, because I certainly haven't seen them as much lately. But this particular glamor shot of the charming netherwhelp, sent in by reader Baxmaniac, reminds me of every reason the little guys were such an appealing part of the Collector's Edition package. After all, how could you say no to such a cutie?

Well, you only got that because Blizzard fucked up with the Collector's Editions.

Poor Netherwhelp, looking so much like an ordinary pet, and with no cute special animations. It just pales next to Lurky.

Yeah, that's the thing... the original CE pets had special animations - this Netherwhelp [I own one] is a whelp with a sparkly skin. Does nothing special, makes no noise. Even the hippogriff from the cards [I own one of those, too] has a custom noise and movement.
Just one more reason why I feel the small details got swept under the table by Blizzard for BC. The big picture looks okay, but if you check the corners, it's fairly shoddy where it counts...

@6 Your just a weirdo no lifer if u buy the TCG and the TBC collectors edition.

Wow I emailed this right when TBC came out and it is just now posted lol... I must say though of all the pets I have, this one is the most appealing and gets the most "WHOA WHERE'D YOU GET THAT" whispers ;)
