Illidan in motion

For such a cool character, Illidan Stormrage's in-game model leaves something to be desired -- at least from what we see of it on the model viewer. Luckily, the ever-vigilant WoW community has dug into the PTR patch and come up with a neat video of Illidan's animations, and he looks much better in motion. No spoilers here, but hmm ... that "death animation" looks a lot less certain than most ...

Nice patch digging on the videos but I'm not a fan of the music... thats what the mute button is there for.

I pressed play and thought my iTunes was playing.
Really awesome that KSE was the music choice.
Looks really awesome but I was hoping he would have his weapons :-/

I didn't see a Death Animation, that I know of.

Here is what my money is riding on, since there are 3 forms of Illidan in the PTR patch.
First, You fight Illidan, he falls, does the death animation. You go to loot, but instead there's a speech bubble. You end up getting a little conversation, for the lore lovers. Then, arising from the ashes is Illidan in Demon form. He basically wtfpwnz everything in sight the first time because people decide to go on the chat and yell "WE DID IT" instead of drinking and eating in preparation for the battle to come. After wiping, the group comes back prepared for the second fight of Illidan, then this time when they beat him, just before he dies, like at 5%, he clears all debuffs, and sleeps everybody. He then gives his goodbye speech, and leaves. The first corpse will then become lootable. On it will be an epic bow, a epic profession recipe, and 3xtier coins.

Wow i hope that isnt the end Illidan is my favorite character and Maiev my least favorite maybe Tyrande will come in and save him at the last second or at least that would be my ending.

Ah yes, a WoW Youtube video. Complete with traditional shitty music.
I've gotta say, the animation is EXCELLENT. I was afraid he'd be using the same old Night Elf animations we've all seen millions of times; it was bad enough on the Twin Emperors. But no, he moves like he should - super quick and taking full advantage of those wings of his.
Styron: weapons usually don't show up on non-player models in the model viewer. I'm sure he'll have them.

I'm guessing the kneeling w/skull bit is what he's doing when you enter his room, followed by the standing up, saying something and dropping the skull. FEAR MY PROGNOSTICATIVE MIGHT

About the killing of Illidan : Not happening.
It has been said over and over By Blizzard that we don't get to kill Illidan; we happen to be in his way only. He's not dying any time soon and certainly not at the weak hands of our petty characters.
