WoW Moviewatch: Nether ray mounts
In 2.1, once reaching exalted with the Sha'tari Skyguard, it will be possible to get a brand-new type of flying mount: a nether ray! Pretty nifty, if you ask me; I was just recently lamenting the lack of flying mount variety. But what does it look like? Peep the video, friends! (For those who do not wish to peep it: its flying motions look pretty much exactly like the nether rays mobs in the game.) I wonder how hard that rep is going to be to grind...Props to Fibb, of Burning Blade, for making this.
And I know I always talk about the music in these videos, but...why does every WoW vid have to be set to hard rock or metal? I swear, if I ever make one I'm gonna set it to Pavement or Ella Fitzgerald or something...

@2 LOL my first thoughts, exactly. I wonder if they come with motion sickness pills.

Yeah, bumpy ride, but very cool. I'll probably go for that one, though probably after the Netherdrake mount. Are they any vids or even pics of the Netherdrake mounts?

Range Life, in particular, would make a great WOW video soundtrack. Go for it!

I 100% agree with your Pavement line. I'd, in fact, pay money to see this.

Any chance we can get caps/movies of this mount without little children riding on it? Ya know, some player of ... well ... more stature?

Bumpy ride? Pfft. I've spent the past 2 years cruising around on a Raptor mount. The nether ray is a smooth ride in comparison.
I think this'll be a much more fitting ride for my troll, at least until they add bats.

Yay, more grinding!

As a druid I don't think I'll get one, they just aren't all that druid-like. I'd prefer more of a nature themed flying mount, or class specific mounts. Really, of all possible mounts, the griffin seems to be the best fitting for a druid.

My question is... why does this video need to be almost five minutes long? You see the motions in the first one, why not just show the colours after and make it one minute?

This is clearly the rantings of an elitist night elf. A nature themed mount would be ... what ... an ... wait a sec, let me guess ... ANIMAL!?!? What do you think the nether-ray is? Now, the nether dragon thing, sure I could see where that might get dicey ... but the nether-ray and the wyvern are about as natural as any druid should ever need.
Typical night elf. Probably wants the trees to uproot themselves and carry him from limb to limb across a continent. We tauren are the true backbone of the cenarion expedition.

One thing bothers me... the gnome looks right, sitting on it.
Which means every other race is going to look oversized on it... especially tauran and draenei.

@Baranokc
If I seem like an elitist night elf its because I'm better than you

Hello I am a student at Indiana University and am doing an assignment on online communities. I am interested on peoples ideas of how this community formed, how it accelerates the transfer of information in particular info on game play and strategies, as well as what kind of image or identity the community has of it’s self.
My project is for a Telecom class about living in the information age. Any feedback I can get about what bloggers are talking about, what tips and tricks you may be sharing, or just any info in general about your online community would be helpful.

Hey my main is a Nelf Druid and i love the look of this mount. Don't judge everyone on what a few idiots say. And to KisstheRing i would say the FLIGHT FORM is the best for druid you know it just fits them best.

@17: The image we have of ourselves is basically that of the Fonz or Chester Cheetah or, like, Aragorn except he's wearing awesome shades and riding this sweet motorcycle and he's the Terminator 2 and he reloads his sword by, like, whipping it around in a circle. That's what each and every one of us sees when we look in the mirror.
As for what tips and tricks we share, it's mostly where to find the warp zones and how to win infinite lives and when (and when not) to use the Whistle. The information age makes the spreading of this info so much faster than Nintendo Power. Like at least 3 times faster.
I hope this info helps you win an A+.

I'm sure it would be helpful to the WoW Insider folks if you provided a way for them to contact you. That email address you may have typed in is probably strictly used for posting verification emails. Even though they likely track email addresses to track down abusers, it may not be convenient for them to dig up. I suggest using their 'Send us News Tips' link to communicate with them:

Good luck on your project!
