I'm sure it would be helpful to the WoW Insider folks if you provided a way for them to contact you. That email address you may have typed in is probably strictly used for posting verification emails. Even though they likely track email addresses to track down abusers, it may not be convenient for them to dig up. I suggest using their 'Send us News Tips' link to communicate with them:
