WoW Moviewatch: I Summon People Off Cliffs
Sometimes you have to admire the sheer maliciousness of WoW players. This is a classic "PVP" video from the Goon Squad guild on Mal'Ganis, famed for holding the Theramore flightmaster hostage. The Goon Squad warlock Dipex formed an "Azeroth Airlines" guild solely for the purposes of summoning people to their deaths. The general focus is summoning over cliffs, but the video also features summons over a waterfall, over the edge of Felwood, and down the Undercity elevator. There's also an impressive selection of hate mail.

Im at work so I can't watch the movie, but I heard blizz made it so you couldn't do this anymore? I'm all excited to go home and try it now...

It's so evil and I would be so mad, but at the same time, you can't help but laugh... haha

That is pure evil, and pure class! I especially love the Undercity lift ones because getting the placement just right for that must have taken some work.

Best summoning to your death I have seen...
In an old guild called Hand of Fate, we summoned our guild leader Kartos into the middle of the STV arena. Then kicked the crap out of him. Not as cool as dropping him to his death. But the Julius Ceasar reinactment was classic.

Freaking hilarious!!!

Hahaha very funny.
This is not the first video o summon-killers i've seen. Other ideas are to go deep deep underwater (with the warlocks unending breath) and summon people there. Its so much funny when they realize where they are and start to run and frog-a-like-jump to reach the surface for fresh air. Ofc nobody survives XD.
Other idea I saw was to summon people inside a cave full of 60 elites in Silithus. In the moment he spawns he instantly aggroes to some elite and then tries to run away thus aggroing more elites ... hahahaha, pretty funny.
I'm sorry i cant find the video right now.

So I haven't played a warlock...how does the summon work? Are these people willingly accepting a summon? Are they friends or think they have been invited to a group?
Strongmark on Arthas Apr 19th 2007 3:14PM
@ 6 armi0022:
They have to be in the group first before the summon can work and with the help of another group member, warlocks have the ability to summon at a certain level.

First funny Wow Moviewatch in a long time. That was great.
idburns Apr 19th 2007 3:21PM
Meh, we used to do this all the time. Blizzard fixed this a LONG time ago.
Toolio Apr 19th 2007 4:08PM
Fixed it a long time ago? Uh, nah, they didn't. I had some prankster guildies summon my 52 druid to a blade in Blade's Edge. Upon my arrival they got on their mounts and flew away.

There was a video floating around a while ago where some people got into Hyjal, where there's an extremely deep lake where the World Tree used to be. I guess it's so deep that you can't swim to the bottom (or top) without water breathing. Anyway, this group decided it would be funny (and rightly so) to summon people to the bottom of this lake.
Another funny thing would be to summon people somewhere really high, that they can't get down from without falling a great distance. It'd have to be Outland, since YOU have to be able to get there in the first place. Some good options: the top of mountains, floating rocks, floating islands. Once they're summoned, you just fly away.
You know how people are always asking for ports to Shattrath? Summon them to the top of the Terrace of Light (the building in the middle of the city), or I think there are a few floating platforms above the Scryer and Aldor cities. These places may not be high enough to kill them, but they're probably good for a laugh anyway.
If you wanted to be REALLY mean, you could summon them to the top of one of the buildings in Skettis. Mobs there range from 70-72. Once they've done a corpse run through the whole place, they still have to jump off the waterfall to get down.

This video has been around for a very long time :)
Laukidh Apr 19th 2007 4:23PM
@6.
You have to be in a party with the warlock and click accept.
As a warlock, you will be bombarded with random tells from people who want you to summon them... To summon, you burn a soul shard (as a 70 lock, I can't get a soul shard in azeroth anymore except off a boss) and need two people with you to click the portal, so its a pain...

Yea, it's a very old one. But it's great nonetheless!
MartinC Apr 19th 2007 6:38PM
This video is *very* old. Are you guys really hurting that bad for new content?
BenMS Apr 19th 2007 7:45PM
The funniest thing about summoning someone to the bottom of a lake is that when they get there, they don't even get a breath bar. They go stright from breathing to drowning. I helped summon a guildy of mine to the bottom of the lake around Sunken Temple, and as the warlock was trying to put unending breath on him, he was swimming away to the surface. Vent was a colourful place to be that night.

I wonder if a much tamer version could be done over the canals in Stormwind? With the only surprise being falling in water. Or how about over the furnaces in the center of Ironforge?
Twinny Apr 20th 2007 4:50AM
theres more fun to be had.
Alot of people need summons to honor hold before 70.
fly to the top of the tower then summon them up there.
Fly off and leave them stranded.
