I play a Warrior; sometimes I like to tank, and sometimes I like to DPS. DPS is a little more fun IMO, as a Warrior. Tanking is often just pushing the same three buttons over and over again for most of the fight (Revenge, Shield Block, Sunder...if I were Prot then I'd have Shield Slam and Devestate, but even so) whereas when I DPS I have to make a lot of split-second decisions about how to maximize my rage, which I find more engaging.
The main reason I won't go Prot, though, is then I can ONLY tank. No PVP, no DPS, no soloing...just tanking. Yawn.
BTW, I can see healing seeming feminine, but tanking? I don't see it. And I'm not trying to be all macho, my main alt is a Priest that I'm leveling to be a healer.
