Around Azeroth: One giant leap for draenei-kind

Reader Stolie sent in a series of shots from the airfield above Ironforge and the highest peak in Dun Morogh, taken from a draenei's perspective. Does this make Stolie the first draenei to climb this peak? It's impossible to say for certain (I received this shot on February 7th, in case you were wondering), but you can find more pictures of Stolie's journey on Flickr.

Soon to be cordoned off with invisible barriers....
I've been wanting to get up there for some time bu the best I've managed is getting into the Burning Steppes. Yeah, completely opposite direction but going counter-clockwise on the mountain range didn't work so I imagine you have to go clockwise and (starting from the eastern side) work your way all the way around.

Wow Elizabth Harper just posts any stupid shit. It's not even about quality with her, its just quantity. Who cares about the first draenei going there?!! Ppl have been going to that place since the beginning of WoW and its still very accessible. NEXT DUMB TOPIC PLZ LIZ!

Is there some way to request the banning of a poster? #2's inane and abusive commentary does nothing to add to the value of this article and it seems to be a running trend in his posts.
I came to WOW Insider to get away from this stuff in the WoW forums.

What comments can possibly add to the "value" of this dumb post? I was simply trying to make a point that whatever she keeps posting really isn't any "inside" info eventhough this site is called WOWINSIDER! Wow so a draenei got to the summit, woopdy-friggin-doo asshat! The other post I bitched about was of a terrible machinima video and I wasn't the only person that said it sucked. I not try to give her a hard time on purpose and I'm not doubting her writing abilities, I'm merely pointing out that the content she is posting as of late is shit! That's all...

I rest my case.

Next expansion, this area needs to be put into production as a global flight path. The boats are getting cumbersome. If we're heading to Northrend, put us in the backseat of a gnome-piloted plane from Ironforge instead of flying to Menethil and always missing the boat. Add a similar flightpath in Teldrassil and all of a sudden Darnassus is a viable city instead of a huge pain in the ass.

I must agree with The Cannabis Connoisseur a bit but in a less rude way.
This post feels like it's a fill-up. Something like this happened Febuary 7th. It's already been some time so why bring it up now? This post has no real apparent value. If anything I would've presented it with more credit to the guy that did it but WHEN HE DID IT, that would've been appropriate then.

I just created on account here for the sole purpose of saying that I agree 100% with banning Cannabis. His posts here are way out of line. The insults and profanity are juvenile to the extreme. It can't be easy to come up with 3-4 new blog topics each day, so a little slack is in order when one topic may be less than stimulating. Cannabis, if it doesn't interest you, scroll down. No one wants to hear your cyber-rage. Ban this guy.
The Cannabis Connoisseur Apr 27th 2007 11:45AM
I don't understand something Malibu, why does she need to post 3-4 entries if the majority of them aren't very intersting or insightful to begin with?! Is there some sort of quota she has to meet? C'mon! Clearly quality is more important than quantity in this case...
Yes, ok, so my comments can sometimes be vulgar but that's my own vice. I, however, speak the truth!
Elizabeth Harper Apr 27th 2007 12:11PM
I'm sorry some of you didn't like this day's screenshot, but the majority of our readers enjoy the feature and feedback for it is overwhelmingly positive.
While sometimes screenshots come with a dose of lore or an amusing story, many of them are just interesting shots of a location in the game world (some easy to get to, others not). The intent is to entertain. The story that came with this was interesting, and made it stand out from the hundreds of screenshots I have in my inbox at this point, which is why I posted it.
There is a point to be made about the shots being posted so far after they are received, but the truth is I receive many a day and, at present, have exactly 210 in my inbox that are to be posted later. It's likely that as I sort through them for images to post, I'll discard about half of them -- poor image quality, similar to another shot posted recently, not as interesting as other shots, or low quality resolution. But unless it's a major current event (and this, I know, isn't), it's just not going to get posted until later.
If you don't care for it, I do apologize. And if you don't care for me, well, I suppose I can apologize for that, too. But as I've said, a lot of people enjoy the daily screenshot, and it's not going to go away just because you don't.
Now that we've had a detailed discussion about how much everyone dislikes this particular post and how everyone dislikes me, I'd like to note that we really are veering far off the topic of the original post. And while I do like to be as friendly about this as possible, spam gets deleted. We really want to encourage constructive discussion here, not mud-slinging and flame-wars. You have made your point, and I advise that we all move on.
The Cannabis Connoisseur Apr 27th 2007 1:18PM
I want to make something abundantly clear...I don't dislike you and I think that you do bring valuable information to the table. That being said, I've been seeing a common trend among your posts and felt like someone had to speak up against your monotonous entries.
Maybe it was the wrong approach starting off so vulgar and for that I'm the one who's sorry, but face it, screenshots are great and all but when they are the majority of your blog entries and the shots aren't very good to begin with then it begins to perturb some people - myself included. Anyhoo...I agree with you and I'm moving on and I didn't mean to start this whole altercation but like I said before, I felt something had to be said about this matter. Let's all move on now....
Malibu Apr 27th 2007 4:18PM
OK, one last point. Elizabeth -- you have nothing to apologize for. Thank you for all your efforts in making this site as great as it is. I'm moving on now too.
