One reason I feel people take this game way too seriously is the time one must spend in order to get things done. Grinding and farming takes time, and if something/someone comes along and screws with us, that just takes more time.Think about the old school PvP grinders. I talked to one of the last High Warlords on my server (after the change to cross-server but before the hp system), and it took him about 60 hours that week to go from Warlord to High Warlord, and about 75 hours the next week to keep it. That's more than a full time job devoted to this game to get something done.I believe the people who spend the most time will find the most drama. I've seriously cut back on the amount I play per week for the past two months, and other than one thing in a former guild (so not a fan of the "just let anyone in" theory), I've not had one spot of drama that I cared about.
