I have mixed feelings on this issue. Contrary to my initial thoughts, I thought the shaman had a fair review (for the most part) and that most of the complainers were QQing. Then I read this post: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=101920227&sid=1&pageNo=1 It's a summation of all the posts regarding coming improvements to the shaman class, none of which have come to fruition. This ticked me off, and I joined up with my shaman bretheren to voice my discontent.
Now, there are lots of issues brought up in the shaman forums that I won't deal with specifically, but I did want to highlight one situation I found myself in two days ago. A hunter buddy of mine (on my arena team, 10k hp unbuffed, kara / gladiator gear) challenged me to see who could be the top DPSer in some EotS games. We played 3 matches, and I was tops in damage in 2 of them. Now, you're probably saying "so what, shaman have always been good in pvp, I'm not surprised" and I would normally agree, except that the majority of my talent points are in RESTO (30/0/31). Why is a hybrid spec out damaging a dps class? I would be interested to see how people respond to that statement.
