Sadly, Renn faires have become almost more of a dress-up mall that you pay to shop in. They're still enjoyable, just not quite as entertaining. Of course, that could just be because I'm a jaded SCAdian. It's been funny watching the role-reversal between these two groups over the years. Used to be RennFaires were 'historical' and fantasy wonks were encouraged to go play with those 'silly k-nighit people'. Now, Faires have a decided fantasy flair, and historical buffs are encouraged to go play with those 'stuffy re-enactors'.Still, I'm wondering how long till this Blizzard/ PleasureFaire alliance results in a real-life DarkMoon Faire.. Cosplay at the PleasureFaire will probably not be tolerated well, but if anyone could pull off an "AzerothLand" theme faire..disturbing...
