Forum post of the day: Forty people, one class, one unsuspecting town

Zingeri of Emerald Dream has a plan. He wants to make a one-class only guild, specifically to do forty-man raids on the Alliance cities of Azeroth and drive his opponents crazy. But which class? For this, Zingeri turns to the WoW Forums for help. Each class has its pluses and minuses:
- Forty rogues could stealth and attack from the shadows in various parts of the city. As the Alliance rush to help one victim, two more rogues will gank in other quarters. It's death by a thousand cuts!
- Forty warlocks could summon forty infernals ... or forty doomguards! Or maybe forty Seeds of Corruption in the auction house. Plus, forty DOTs on a boss could really do some damage.
- Forty mages could sheep just about everyone in town.
- Forty paladins could, in a coordinated effort, attempt to Divine Intervention each other all at the same time. I have no clue what would happen. Also, a raid of forty druids or pallies would be able to tank, DPS and heal -- the only raids that would actually be able to down a boss.
- Forty balance druids ... well, they could stealth into the trade quarter. Then they could unstealth and immediately pop into moonkin form and summon their 120 treeants! Chaos ensues.
- Forty shamans could drop 160 totems. With a whole ton of micromanagement, they could probably bring Ironforge to a standstill. And if they died, they could all ankh at once!
I can't really think of anything good for forty hunters, warriors or priests. What do you think of this idea? Totally insane, or so crazy it just might work?

I wish people in my server went along for this kind of stuff.
When someone tries to recruit for a raid on an horde city over here I often find myself in a group with about 10 others and that's it.
Nobody wants to get their armor dirty. -.-

40 Hunters could frost trap just about every square inch of ironforge. I think that make bring the server down with its blinding light of cold.

Hunters: 40 serpents spitting poison? 40 Wind serpents with lightning bolts? 40 Fire breathing thingy's? 40 BM spec hunters with Beastial Wrath.
Warlocks: 40 Fear bombs. Can you imagine the terror? He he he.

Forty beast mastery hunters, with pets on aggresive. Just pop beastial wraith and watch the fun.

40 Beastmastery Hunters could let their wildlife cause massive damage inside the capital cities (aggresive pets ftw), with 40 additional people trapped, and the 40 hunters could all focus fire on a target and pretty close to one shot most chars, except for elite NPC's. To bad when they get to most bosses, they'll have to have a Feign Death "circle of death", where they kite the boss in a large circle and fd whenever he gets close.

I rofled at this. Now, I don't know whether this would work, since I haven't got up to this stage with these first two classes yet, but:
raid of 40 hunters:If they were all marksmanship specced and all put their trueshot auras on at the same time, that could lead to some ridiculous RAP buffs. Also, I quite like the idea of the hunters all running up to the boss and dumping their immolation traps all at once. It would also be quite amusing seeing a HORDE of pets descend upon a boss :)
raid of 40 priests: If they were all in shadowform and had their vampiric embrace activated, and spamming all sorts of shadowy goodness, would that not lead to them being somewhat... unkillable?
raid of 40 warriors: Just THINK of how many sunder armours they can put out! It makes me get all warm inside just thinking about it. So they're all crowding around a target, in their plate armour, spamming sunder and other abilities... gotta suck for the one they're hitting, right? In addition, just imagine the carnage that would ensue when their target gets to 20% health. EXECUTEEXECUTEEXECUTEEXECUTE

I thought about doing that. Only my idea was for Alliance side. A big group of paladins spreading the 'light' amongst the land cleansing the world of it's evils.
Horde class/race specific group would be fun tho'.
A class vs. class PvP would be awesome!

Traps ... I always forget about traps ... Kite a boss thru 40 Immolation traps? 985 x 40 = 39,400 over 15 sec. How about 40 Snake traps? This could be fun. Reminds me of the forums posts about an all Warlock WSG team. People were crying "stop the fear"

I want to see a pre-made BG of Warlocks appear. I would only want to see it once, and for my warlock to be on that team. It would suck to be the opposition.

I think I'd like to see the receiving end of 40 imp sap rogues. Just hanging around in front of the AH then people start randomly getting sapped. Till some mage tosses out a random frost nova and catches 4 rogues.

40 hunters you say? Not sure how many there were but in TB on Malfurion a few nights ago a bunch of NE hunters and their pets went on a killing spree. It was amazing.

For sure forty Shadow Priest would be an awesome site. All releasing thier pets at the same time on a boss would be a joy to behold...15 seconds of pure hell, and your right never run out if health or mana....priceless.

Omgosh 40 warriors? Raid icon target, 40 warriors come charging and if that doesnt kill a person outright, 40 executes. bam bam bam!

I wouldn't want to join a guild like that, but man would I LOVE to participate in those kind of events! I did a 25 Druid Ony run a year ago or so (http://files.filefront.com/Druids_Kill_Onyxia_Hi_Res/;5491550;/fileinfo.html).
I would love to do a 40 man or more raid with all stealthed people. Rogues and Druids, running amok in an Alliance town... oh the carnage!

40 locks having 40 CoD on a boss after.
After one minute I think any boss would drop from that with all the other DoTs and Shadowbolts in between
