What would make you leave a group?

Yesterday's forum debate asked, what is your "best reason for leaving a group?"
I personally think that leaving a group is a highly questionable and situational thing. If the group is a pickup group, then you may be giving yourself a bad name by not sticking it out until the end. Of course, there are always exceptions to every rule, and sometimes the actions of other party members warrant the immediate abandoning of the group.
Some of the reasons for leaving were quite entertaining:
When the hunter says, "I can't find my bow. Do you have it?" It's a good time to leave.
The elemental shaman says, "I'll pull," and proceeds to chain lightning.
When you hear over vent, "the police are here."
While the forum derailed almost immediately, there were still many posters who replied in the original spirit of the forum. Some of the more humorous replies were:
"I had diarrhea."
"My toes are cold."
"Wife Aggro."
"I'm finished here at work. Time to go home!"
Or, from Nathaera, "I was tired and needed to go to bed before I woke up with waffleface."
What's your best reason for leaving a group? Or, what have you ever kicked someone out of a group for?

i literally had to leave a PUG last week cause my dog was puking. i didn't leave, i just got up for a second, but that snowballed into a few minutes, and I was suddenly left behind (stealth ftw) in ST....luckily they had a 70 to help them....shadowblade dropped and i auto-passed while i was gone :(

Um, didn't someone already write a story about that on WoW Insider? :/

I don't PuG often, but I've never been kicked and only rarely have I had people bail on the groups I'm in. The times they have it's usually been an acceptable excuse, with the odd alt+F4 "disconnect".
The only time I kick anyone is when the person was high-ish level (mid-60's), clueless, and refused to listen to advice after a wipe that they caused, or when they're not trying/so painfully useless that you simply can't help them (example: 65+ hunter in mostly leathers and a level 40 bow).

Well there was this one time on Black Dragonflight me and this priest got a group for Underbog and this dick 70 warrior ended up sexually harassing the priest and I was friends with the priest so we split. Moral: NEVER PARTY WITH ANGSTHOOF OF BLACKDRAGON FLIGHT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT WORTH SHIT...sux ass at tanking too.

My general rule of thumb -- if the group wipes three times before the first major encounter in a normal dungeon, it's basically time to throw in the towel on the group.
Normally my excuse is: "Hey guys, this is not looking good, if we can't clear trash then we will probably struggle significantly with all of the bosses, so I'll give this one more shot" after two, then just explain that there's no way we'd be able to down most of the bigger mobs in the instance and apologize.
Better to cut your losses (and save yourself 10g for the further repair costs) than continue to attempt the smashing of your face into a wall. Repeatedly.

Well, one time, I left because my boyfriend came over to my house and broke up with me v_v
Once I had a rogue in my group who started doing .5dps on the dmg chart... when questioned, he said 'all of my stuff is red'. /cry

I wanted very badly to leave a group a while ago.
1. some hunter kept pulling while the priests mana wasn't even close to full despite getting told to knock it off.
2. we got a bunch of adds and said hunter proceeded to run in a large loop ( i have no idea why) effectively bringing in about 8 more mobs and causing us to wipe.
after the wipe somone did leave which gave the group a good reason to call it quits.

My general rule of thumb is three wipes on trash and I am out. I almost bailed on a pug last week because the warrior refused to sunder, even on bosses. He was not holding aggro and if not for fear dotting I would have died about 40 times.

If someone says they have to go wash their Steve...
Generally, if there's repops that need re-cleared, I'm gone, unless it's mostly guildies.

Can't wait until next week and they do an article called...Forgotten Places in Azeroth.

I've been in pugs that have simply fallen apart before they got started. As soon as there were 5 of us...someone had to go.
And I got booted from a PUG with a former guildmate because I was experiencing extreme lag. Once I resolved the issue (it took me a while) I got an apology message through to the rest of the group. I PUG a lot, and don't need a rep as a flake.

I was in a group the other night and I WANTED to leave, but I stuck it out to the end.
We were in SM: Armory, I was playing my new level 35 undead shadow priest (my main is a rogue). Two of the guys in the pickup group (a rogue and a paladin) were speaking spanish the whole time interjected with broken english yelling at me to heal. I'm sure I'd be able to heal a lot better if they didn't keep charging in and aggroing 6+ mobs at a time. I'd run out of mana halfway through the fight every time. To make things worse, the paladin wasn't interested in healing at all and neither was the shaman in the group. Then they wouldn't give me enough time to drink before engaging the next group of mobs. The final nail in the coffin was the hunter that kept yelling at me for "letting his pet die". As a level 35 shadow priest in somewhat crappy gear, I only have so much mana to go around and frankly, pets are at the bottom of the list.
Granted, I take some of the blame. I'm a noob priest and not very experienced at instancing in general. My gear was crap as well which probably limited my mana pool. However, if they would learn to pull properly and back up into the cleared sections to prevent adds, I'm sure it would have gone much smoother.
Surprisingly, we only wiped twice, once about halfway through, and once at the boss.

I left a PUG last week doing BFD (I'm still a noob). 2 pallys in the group (me being one of them) and I was the highest level (30) of the group. Made it through fine until after the first boss. Rouge went off one direction, I followed, the rest went on their own. Had to res them after they took on a boss and failed without us. Took down the boss then got killed by too many pulled trash. The other pally didn't have his res spell. Had to run back. Then, right after we went on a push and it was just me and the rouge. Others "weren't ready". They had been standing there for a couple minutes waiting for me to run back, how the hell weren't they ready?! No one said they had left. I left out of frustration.

I parted ways with a pickup tank in Shadow Lab after he fought through the first boss without a shield... when asked about it, he said "I forgot my 1h weapon so I can't use my shield."
Really should've noticed that first, but oh well. :P

Had a hunter freak out once in SM when I was with my alt Priest. Used a macro that announced when I was healing someone. She thought I was asking her to heal ME...started shouting and yelling and then quit. It was very amusing.
Made note to self...always ASK the group if they want notification of when I am saving their butts from death.
I leave usually after A) 3 wipes or B) an item Ninja or C) rude bungholes. Thankfully, A happens far more often then either B or C. ;-)

I had my Raid Leader in Kara leave (albeit shortly - he came back), when he said "I gotta go, someone is stealing my neighbor's car". We all got a chuckle out of that.
Generally speaking I'll quit a group if people don't listen. As a tank, if the mage spams spells before I gain a few sunders to hold aggro I mostly do the 3 strike rule - 3 bad aggro pulls, with a DPS on the top of the Threat Meter and I respectufully leave (or dismiss the offender). Repair bills suck, but aren't so huge a burden that I'd leave needlessly, but people who don't allow a tank to do their job because they want to be on top of a damage meter need their head checked.
On the same note...I'll kick players from gorups who constantly spam damage meters and brag about how cool they are due to dmg/heals. My question always is: "did we clear the run? yes. Did everyone work together to finish it? yes - then stop with the meters and grow up".

Is it just me, or does it seem that insider has so many bloggers now that they are repeating posts? This isn't the only one I've noticed.
