WoW goes mobile on the OQO!
No, this isn't the wireless property that we saw Blizzard hiring for recently. This is a completely seperate thing. The OQO is a "uPC" (ultra-portable computer) that you can take anywhere for wireless on-the-go access. "Cool," you say. "But what does it have to do with WoW Insider as opposed to going on one of your sister blogs like EngadgetMobile?" Not only is it cool new tech, but the OQO can run World of Warcraft -- and surprisingly well, considering!
Check out part one:
[Part two of the video is after the jump!]
While the OQO's $1500-$2000 price tag keeps this sleek little gem safe from being in my geeky mitts anytime soon, it is still an impressive little machine for the price. The OQO boasts 1 gig of ram, a 1.5GHz processor, and a 60 gig hard drive along with a slick eye-candy casing -- all while being just a hair larger than a PSP and weighing in at less than a pound.
Now, if we could get a heads up of what Blizzard is in the planning that requires a Lead Mobile Software Engineer...

Nice, very nice actually! If you can connect a mouse it would be even better, this seems a bit hard to coordinate.

they should sell it with sticker "not possible to pvp unless you're a BM hunter or demo lock" LOL

Now everyone can get in the AFKave in AV on the go!
I'd like to see someone use this to get to their raid on time. Imagine you are stuck in traffic and you have 6 minutes to make a 15 minute drive to get home. If you're not there someone else will take your spot! OQO saves the day.
I guess you could also do things like farm... in the bathroom... with the door open!
The uses for WoW mobile could be endless. I'm dreaming of being able to farm primals while waiting for a plane, skilling up fishing during a large lecture, or killing time waiting for an appointment (doctors/dentist or otherwise).

Imagine downing Onyxia (i know, it's nothing anymore, but bare with me) while you're in school :P

I've been using one of these to check the AH on the train over Sprint EVDO. When using EVDO, make sure to kill the Sprint app via Task manager, or it will disconnect you within seconds.

Wow, very nice. He gets about the same framerate in Shattrath that I do when I'm in there. I guess I need to upgrade.

That's very good. It runs better than most desktops. I know a lot of people who's desktops take ages to load shattrath and even my own here with a brilliant everything is only just about as good as that.
But, the fact that the scroller bar and the mouse are so small and awkward makes me feel like it wouldn't be easy to get a good view point. I think what it needs is to be touch screen, then you wouldn't have to move the mouse so much and it would be a lot quicker.
Other than that my only complaint is that I thought he called Shattrath Satrath, but that may just be because im accent intolerent.

People really need to learn how to edit video. 8 minutes of crap just to see 5 seconds of something useful.

He seems to be a ‘clicker’ though. Only thing I use my mouse for really is looking around, the rest I do pretty much all by keyboard. He should do that too, it would make the OQO much easier to use for WoW ^_^.

well the thing does have bluetooth for all the clickers out there to connect a bt mouse
