It does make sense but I hope there's a bit of leeway with it. Rather than, oops D/C'd or left the party for 20 seconds to help someone summon and it's gone, maybe just give the player 45 seconds before it wears off.
And damn, I loved catching two fish at once when it happened. It's not impossible, just improbable.
Catch little fish --> big fish sees little fish struggling --> big fish latches onto little fish --> player reels in multi-catch!
But ah well, three fish a minute guaranteed will be good enough.
