Finally something to see at Starcraft2.com

For days now people have been linking Starcraft2.com in comments about the Blizzard announcement. Now that Blizzard has updated the company website they have also updated the URL they have been hording for so long (no pun intended.) All those vigilant Internic WHOIS watchers were right after all.
On the website you will find all kinds of goodies, including screenshots, wallpapers and both the cinematic trailer as well as one featuring artwork from the game. Take a look, there is lots to drool over, and it looks like more will be added soon.

I set that as my wallpaper as soon as I saw it. I needed a new one.
I found the unit information to be the best, those Phase Prisms look like fun. Combine them with Warp Gates and you can send units anywhere on the map. It will be interesting to see what the Zerg and Terrans have to counter that.

somehow a warcraft site whose frontpage is nothing but starcraft news is rather uninteresting
Wartooth May 19th 2007 6:45AM
Pretty sure this is meant to be a site about World of Warcraft... lol

Blaspheme the Starcraft name no longer, "Warcraft" fans.
Warcraft always takes bitch seat when SC is in town.

great - i'm really happy for you all. Can you please set up a site called WC2insider, and get back to WoW?

Thank you to all of the above posters who posted about this being a dedicated World of Warcraft website, and not a Blizzard Fanboys website.
Not that there's anything wrong with Blizzard Fanboys :b They're just on the wrong website. 8 million players, chances are at least 5 million have never even played another Blizzard game, let alone StarCraft.
So until you guys get your sc2insider.com site live, let's keep this on topic, shall we?
PS: Judging by the exitement of some of these blog entries, Wowinsider.com is gonna be "hiring" again once half their staff leaves WoW for Korean-players-are-better-than-you-craft 2.

Let us have our moment. 9 years coming. Most of us WoW players probably had at least one major phase where we played through the StarCraft games. It is responsible for us being here today. Being that there is no BlizzardInsider.com, this works in proxy. Just give up and let us SC fans have our moment.
If any news relevant to WoW happens today or in the next 5 years, they'll put up articles. It's not like they'll neglect the mention 2.1.0 hitting Live because they're busy on all the SC2 news. Saturday Mornings are slow, so SC2 news is about the only big thing to talk about. And they don't delete old articles, so you can scroll to near the bottom and hit "Previous Page", or click the categories on the side.
Now please, let us enjoy our fun for a little while.

7 - asked around in my not too small guild. While not representative it certainly gives some indication: not one of them played starcraft. Myself, I'll not bother with this blog for a week in hope the SC wankathon has subsided by then and they get back to posting about the things I'm interested in.
RogueJedi86 May 19th 2007 9:17AM
Then you'll miss other news involving 2.1.0 and other things. It's not like it's hard to differentiate between WoW and SC posts. SC is all sci-fi looking, WoW is all medieval.

The announcement of StarCraft 2 is a huge deal for Blizzard fans, and deserves this amount of attention, if not more. If you don't have interest in reading about it, don't read the damn posts. Its not like the title said "Patch 2.1 Secrets Revealed!" only to have the body of the post say "PSYCHE! StarCraft2 OMG DROOLZ!"
I assure you that they will be back to your regular ly scheduled WoW related posts in no time.

I am happy the wait is finally over, but truefully I was never a fan of Starcraft, I felt it paled in comparison to warcraft. I have the first one never ended it, and didn't bother with the expansions. WCII on the other had was the best game i know. WCIII is good but i feel it went into the WC story too much which took away from the game. I cannot be the only one whom thinks this way about starcraft. If i were then there would have been a Starcraft II before there was a Warcraft III. Starcraft came out in 98 DiabloII and WCIII cam out afterward. you'd think that if there was this overwhelming desire for Starcraft then the sequel would have came out eariler. While the game may be good, The Warcraft and Diablo series of games were better.
