Official WoW contest: Robin Hood Screenshots

Steal from the Consortium and give to the Broken? Ambush Illidian and hand the purple to a newbie? How will you capture the essence of Robin Hood and his campaign to fight corruption and poverty?
Blizzard is sponsoring a new screenshot contest asking just that question. Inspired by the BBC series, Robin Hood, Blizzard has put out a call for screenshot entries showing the spirit of the outlaw with the heart of gold. Prizes include a Robin Hood Genuine Pewter Tankard and the Robin Hood Season One dvd.
Some important notes:
- Contest runs from May 25 - June 8, 2007
- You must be at least 13 years of age and If you are under the age of majority (usually 18), your parents must agree to the contest rules
- You must be a U.S. Resident, but not a resident of Florida or Rhode Island (those states have laws prohibiting these kinds of contests so don't complain to Blizzard about it.)
Read the full contest rules to make sure you qualify to enter.

Thanks for the contest Blizzard...oh wait... I'm not American... screw you Blizzard :)
Sometime I swear some companies think no one uses 'their' product but those who are in 'their' country. With that said... trying to run a competition like this across countries would be a VERY impressive achievement... especially since not all US residents can enter.
/sigh

My idea exactly! Why does Blizzard never organise a competition in Europe, where the majority of the players reside? It's actually legal to organise these things over here.

I've never even heard of the series...

Christ! Now that I read it for a second time, something else occured to me: BBC = British = European!

Some important notes left out in the Original Article:
- the show is the worst *EVER*
- no not just worst ever Robin Hood ... worst ever SHOW
- no seriously, if you have a choice between "the View" and this, get a cup of tea and sit and watch the ladies chatter away
- Alan Alda and Rosie O'Donnell making soft-core Pornography would be preferable to another episode of this show
- imagine what Xena Warrior Princess or Hercules the Legendary Journies would be like if it were really really crappy and lacked the tremendous star power of Lucy Lawless & Kevin Sorbo (respectively)

The show plays on BBC America and contrary to what Lythrdskynrd has to say it is actually really great. I suggest you watch it and make up your own mind.

Well...if anyone on Smolderthorn is feeling in the Robin-Hoodie spirit and needs an outlet, I'll be logging on around 8pm EST tonite...I'll wait for your gifts of purps underneath the vacant vendor cart in front of the SW AH!
:-D

This is a pretty blatant cash-in from Blizzard. Dollars to donuts they accepted money from the studio (or the American distributor at least) to put this in as a promo for the show.
It's pretty inoffensive, I guess. But it doesn't seem to have anything to do with WoW, either.

This is my Robin Hoodesque idea, free WOW for everyone.
#5: - Alan Alda and Rosie O'Donnell making soft-core Pornography would be preferable to another episode of this show..... is .......

The brunette is saucy, but the show is abysmal. Truly, truly awful.
