After a perfectly executed 30-minute wipe fest, Curse has downed Azgalor - the fourth boss of Hyjal. This means that there is only one more boss in their way: Archimonde himself. Unfortunately, since everyone died, the corpse despawned, which resulted in no loot. Hopefully a GM will be on later to rectify their issue. Congratulations to Curse! Good luck with Archimonde!

Congraduations on downing him, but, not to rain on their parade, for me to consider it a first, at least 1 person should survive. Then you can say you beat him. In this, they simply had a draw.

How is this different than when i get ganked while killing a mob? If the corpse of the mob despawns before i can loot it, should I petition a GM for the lost loot?
Sorry, but everyone dead = don't whine about the loot, imho.

You need at least 1 person to survive to call it a legit kill and claim the loot.
Sorry, I hope the GMs don't step in.

When my guild downed nef for the first time, it caused the instance server to crash (cuz we are THAT awesome) and thus we couldnt see the loot, but we had the kill. luckily it was logged and the loot got distributed.
They will get their loot, it will probably just take a bit to get the logs, the only thing they wont get is the gold from the kill. :(
