Your skill is too low for Darny, find some water in Teldrassil or another starting area and fish there, you'll get a catch every time. Jesus it's like you people aren't even aware you're on the Internet. The fact you mention BRK only makes things worse.

You are however correct in the .2 seconds before the casting bar ends problem, used to be the lure hung around a bit after the bar went for the express purpose of lag issues and last second pops. Blizzard in their infinite wisdom have either completely forgotten to add it back in properly or screwed us.
