Breakfast Topic: Ruins of Lordaeron
The Black Temple and Mount Hyjal weren't the only new instances in patch 2.1. There is also a new PvP arena, the Ruins of Lordaeron (nominally in Tirisfal), giving you another randomized possibility on top of the Ring of Trials (Nagrand) and the Circle of Blood (Blade's Edge). Have you guys gotten a chance to play in it yet? Due to spilling a cup of coffee on my laptop, I haven't gotten a chance to play much (or post much) in the past week or two, but I resurrected the machine and plan to join my guild's 5v5 team and try it out tonight. Those of you who have played there, do you like it?

eh, its alright. I still like the Ring of Trials the best by far, the ruins is just too....

My favorite by far. The obstacle in the middle is the only thing that can be used for LOS; makes killing healers alot easier.

better then "circle of blood" and on par with "ring of trials"

LOL #2.
I was gonna say I like it cause it makes healing easier:p
I'm a resto druid.. and after 3 or so weeks of dyin first and within a ocuple shots. I tried runnin around healin myself while my buddy kills things.
IF one of those guys is a caster.. or a hunter.. (it worked ok on melee in this arena)
I just run around and around and while my buddy finishes off #2 i throw heals on him when i reach his side. Then I keep runnin around and around. Having MULTIPLE instant heals is great :p
It might not be the most honorable way to win a match.. but what you lack in spec you can make up other ways ;)

I like it, it's pretty much wide open and doesn't really suffer from "ring around the pillar" like Nagrand does. The only problem that I have with it is that there's very little reason for some teams to leave their starting area, which can result in stalemates. For instance, teans with a shaman will commonly drop totem and just set up shop. Definitely annoying.
Blizzard needs to find some compelling way to get teams to leave the starting area.

@5 You fought those guys too, eh? :) Had shammy and a mage stay in their starting area against myself (rogue) and buddy (druid). e got bored, sprinted in, killed the mage, chased the shammy all over. Then I died. Then the Shammy died. Good fun!
