Breakfast Topic: What one item would you never part with?
My bank and bags are filled with junk I can't seem to get rid of. Tradeskill scraps, unused mid-level potions, RP rewards from seasonal events, you name it. But what if I had to clear it all out? What if, in some cruel twist of fate, the next patch left me with only one slot to keep only one item? What would that item be?For some of you it would probably be an item of sentimental value. The dented stick you started the game with. Or the cat your guildmate left you before cancelling their account. Or the purple that dropped after the 18th wipe at 4 in the morning.
But for me, the one item I could never part with is the one that makes me the most powerful character in the game: my Light of Elune. It's level 25 quest reward out of Ashenvale and it grants immunity from all damage and spells for 10 seconds. The number of encounters that this item would render trivial is endless. Except for one little thing: I can never bring myself to actually use it. Because if I do, then I'll never be able to use it again. Twisted logic, yes, but it has me in its irrational grip and will never let me go. And, thus, I can never use it, but I can never give it up.
Now I leave it to you, dear readers, what is your precious?

My two swords, Quel'Serrar and Thunderfury.
Both great tank weapons, both received as the pinnacle of epic quest lines, and both have served me well.
I got my QS at my guild first Onyxia kill, the feeling when I realized that this time we are going to beat her, this time it's safe to put the Unfired Ancient Blade into the ground, was superb, in game beaten only by the feeling when the second binding dropped, all my arcanite farming finally payed off, and the Blessed Blade of the Windseeker was finally withing in reach.

My hearthstone.

Hey Dan, I've been 70 for some time now and I still have my Light of Elune too. Only having one and knowing I could never get another I just thought I'd save it for something special, well nothing I deemed special enough has come up yet.

I would have to say mine would be the Nifty Stopwatch. For those that don't know it provides +40% run speed.
I can't begin to count the number of times this has helped me out of a jam as a Warlock. Sure the warlock is about as good as it gets with regard to taking on multiple mobs, however there is a point where things just get out of hand.
Sac the VW and run for the hills, heal up, then exact my revenge.

My Vendorstrike. Cost 10dkp on my first MC run with my first End Game guild. Ok it sucks but since I first say it when I was in my 40s I wanted one. It's two useless epics in one after all!

That is funny. Level 70 mage and shammy. Both still have the light of Elune...
One I would have to say is Dartol's Rod of Transformation.
The rewards for finishing the questline < being able to transform into a furbolg.
Just to bad the horde don't get something like it =(

Murky.

#1, make sure you keep Thunderfury. It holds so much aggro, Nihilum still uses it for tanking

It make me laugh every time I see it in my inventory. I refuse to part with it for its sheer comedic value.

Warden Staff and Mark of Tyranny. Any pre-2.0 feral tank knows why.

I have only been playing for 2 months but already am a 70 warrior and I vendored everything. Stupidly I have to say. I had my full valor set, vendored it. Had my full Bold set and vendored it all except the shoulders because im still using them. I hate doing that now and wish I could have them back! :(

Two things: the Sporeggar exalted tabard and Speedy the non-combat turtle pet.

My Warblade of the Hakkarr,(off hand) it droped on my first raid ever,( I was still a 59 so I couldnt use it for another day) The stats were great at the time. I have finally replaced it in outlands, but i dont think i will ever sell it. The rush of getting an epic in my first raid was awesome, even though my wife was pissed that I spent all Sunday nite on the computer.

Mechanical yeti! I can't bear to part with it.
FireStar Jun 8th 2007 9:22AM
I hate items like that, so after my 6th character or so i either intentionally use those items or i vendor scrap them. Those items just make me feel bad and not submitting to their will makes it better :). Can't tell you how many times before that i kept the Sticky Glue or the Sleep Powder or the Speed potions for a long time.

Belt of prophecy, got it with my very first mc guild, never forget it :)
Hellbena Jun 8th 2007 9:17AM
Mine would be the Twin Blades of the Hakkari. I had to make a very convincing arguement that hunters deserve the swords just as much as warriors and rogues, and then I had to beat them on the roll for it (no DKP in 20 mans back then). Thankfully they had the policy of if you had 1 piece of the set, no matter that class, you were given first dibs on the second piece.
Ariakhas Jun 8th 2007 9:18AM
My entire Battlegear of Might, my Warblades of the Hakkari (making me the envy of various rogues and hunters in my guild =P ), and Aegis of the Blood God, which, IMO is the coolest looking shield in the game.

No brainer, my
