It came from the Blog: We killed Hogger
... and died to tell about it. Yup, on Wednesday night a whole bunch of WoW Insider readers and writers took our Horde guild on Zangarmarsh to Elywnn Forest to visit the Darkmoon Faire, and much, much fun was had. To get there, we congregated in Grom'gol, and along with the help of Krystalle's lock and another nice lock named Dartruby, we summoned up. When we numbered about 30 or so, we ran out onto the road in STV and.. died.
We didn't last long. But once we got up to Elwynn, we did kill Hogger! After a little PvP (read: getting killed by a 70 Pally), we headed up to Stormwind as ghosts, and took some nice pictures of our ghostly selves outside the Cathedral. Finally we rezzed and avoided the guards long enough to visit the Darkmoon Faire (I'm surprised I remember it, as I had a little too much Shpecial Resherve, if you know what I mean). Afterwards, Brab and I took a small group into WSG where, just to finish off a perfect evening, we died over and over again.
But I think good times were had by all, so we're going to do it again! Next Friday, June 15th at 8pm Server (we're switching up the times constantly so more people can join us), we'll finally take ICftB into those swirly portal things-- we're going to be running Deadmines, Wailing Caverns, SFK, RFC, and any other instances you crazy people want to run with us. And as always, you can join us if you haven't yet-- just roll Horde on Zangarmarsh and /whisper anyone in the guild for an invite. Check the gallery below to see what we did on Wednesday, and join us next week for a little Instancy fun.

I don't think Barb would be to happy about your clever mispelling of her name. :)
Sounds like you guys did have fun, I'm sorry I missed out on it- I certainly would've enjoyed the run on alts.

Reminds me of our naked tauren race we used to have with my old guild, 50 or so naked lvl 1 tauren warriors racing from Mulgore to Tarren Mill, good times!

I assume this is on a US realm? If so - what about us Europeans that love WoW Insider too? :P
Brandon Jun 8th 2007 4:40PM
Next up Illidan....so true....

Hey Krypton-- yes, European players are forced to miss out on this one, unfortunately. The issue's come up before, but at this moment, we just don't have anyone in Europe to play with you all. You're more than welcome to start one yourself, and we can publicize it if you do, but none of our staff have the ability to play on EU realms at the moment.
Kryptonls Jun 8th 2007 3:52PM
Ah, that's a shame.
So all WoW Insider bloggers play on US realms? I'd have thought that there may have been a few on EU servers, but it seems I am wrong! I'd love to get more involved with and help promote WoW Insider on the European side, but being GM of my small guild on Aggramar-EU doesn't give me that much free time.
Perhaps you could find out if there is a demand (probably not the best word...) for EU WoW bloggers and we can try to get something going in the near future :)

Aw, your "Woot" box is right over my head!! ;)

@chris m -- barb is very happy about it because Brab is her character's name! ;) (she is also very happy about speaking of herself in the third person)
lots of fun at the meetup -- thanks to everyone who came out; it was a blast!

I'd be happy to help out with an EU guild. Maybe you should hold a vote to see how much interest there is
Hudson Jun 9th 2007 1:46AM
Haha, it was lots of fun! In the 14th Pic, I'm giving out a MASSIVE heal. XD
Looking forward to next time!

Looks like fun! So I tried whispering today to someone in the guild with about 10 people on at the time, was told no one was on who could invite. Any names I should be on the lookout for?
Pingmeister Jun 9th 2007 9:08AM
@13 That has been our biggest problem.
We have a set of regulars, but the GMs are not usually around. It's understandable (if we were a REAL Guild I'm sure we could make this into better Guild drama) since they are busy on their own servers and writing the blog.
From a recent post here is a list of game names of the GMs:
"This week, you'll be hanging out with Mike Schramm (Mikril), Robin Torres (Robiness), Amanda Rivera (Moomandie), Krystalle Voecks (Krystalle), Daniel Howell (Sebboh), Matthew Porter (Matthius), Barb Dybwad (Brab), Christopher Grant of Joystiq, Dave Caolo (Ecarg) of TUAW, and Ryan Carter (Toastie) of Download Squad. And if you happen to stay around late (around midnight EST), you can also expect to run into Elizabeth Harper (Lizzie) and David Bowers (Davh)."

Hey, i dont know if anyone still reads this blog, but i cant find anywhere else to fix this problem. I am in the wow insider guild and have gotten about 2 or 3 messages a day from people who want to join the guild. I have to turn them away and give them some blog leaders names to put in there freinds lists. This wouldnt be a big deal but non of the blog leaders are ever on since this realm is for there alts. Please wow insider if there is any way that you could make it so that we could, or some people that are usually on could, let people in then it wold be a great help. Thanks again.
