Breakfast Topic: How did you name your guild?

And so, with a mind to starting fresh, wiping the slate clean, trying a new faction, a group of guildies and I decided to create a Horde guild on our server. We were planning for something small, purely casual, and so with that in mind we sat down to think of a name. And we thought, and thought, and three pages of possibilities and 13 levels later we still had nothing. We have a guild without a name.
There are plenty of clever guild names out there, names with meaning, prestige, wit. Everything we came up with seemed bland in comparison. When in doubt, ask the readers, right? And so I put it to you WoW Insider readership. How did you name your guild? Do you have any suggestions for a group of fledgling Hordies without a moniker?

You might try naming it after something that you all have as a common interest and modeling the guild around that. For example a friend of mine is a big Iron Maiden fan. He named his guild, "Die With Your Boots On," and we had guild ranks like, "Seventh Son," "Wrathchild," "Powerslave," and so on. If you don't know Maiden, you won't get that >.> but the point still stands.
You could also go to a site like http://icanhascheezburger.com/ (or other such silliness), look through the pictures and pick a name out of humorousness inspired therein or elsewhere.

I named my guild Blood. I like the simplicity of a one word guild name... and how can you go wrong calling your guild Blood?

Love the topic!
Guild name:
The chartering members of our guild worked in the IS department together. Thus the Nerdy theme.
One of our more creative members came up with the name and then over the last 2 years we massaged member ranks to support the theme. All ranks, short of Leadership and Guild Leader are level based and are just for fun.
Mad Cow (Level 70)
Holy Cow (Level 60-69)
Veteran Moo (Level 50-59)
Mid-Life Moo (Level 40-49)
Major Moo (Level 30-39)
Minor Moo (Level 20-29)
Teen Moo (Level 10-19)
Little Moo (Level 1-9)

You should find something that you can live with having under you name. Don't be too worried about things like prestige as that comes from what your guild actually does.

My first guild that collapsed after only a month of establishment was called Kings And Queens and I started it with my now-on-standby lv19 twink Belf paladin. I REALLY loved the name and would just twirl the cam around my toon to gloat in its simple coolness. I didn't even mind the 15yos saying it was "so gay!"
Now I started a new guild - the first RP guild on the otherwise PvP EU Agamaggan realm (I seem to have a thing for going against the odds ^^), I named us *drumroll* Children of the Blood! A bit Belf-o-centric but as long as it makes me and my guildies happy :)

My guild uses the name "Ashes" because it is made up of people from old guilds that are either dead or dying.

I notice that a lot of the ingame alliances are often called clans, i.e.
The Black Tooth Grin Clan
Blackrock Clan
Bleeding Hollow Clan
Bonechewer Clan
Bronzebeard Clan
Dark Iron Clan
Dragonmaw Clan
Frostwolf Clan
Laughing Skull Clan
Magram Clan Centaur
Searing Blade Clan
Shadow Moon Clan
Shattered Hand Clan
Stormreaver Clan
Thunderlord Clan
Twilight's Hammer Clan
Warsong Clan
Wildhammer Clan
So you can see that there are a ton of "clans" in the game that Blizzard has created. So you would be following in the auspices of the original content makers for your guild. You can either choose a region you are particularly interested in ... Hellfire Clan or just add some descriptive word before clan ... Bloodtoes Clan.

I love Guild Names with some sort of Pun or something in it, like Hardcore Pwnography. There is also a guild on Moonrunner-H side called "Words under my name"

me and my friends are about to make a guild on Defias Brotherhood EU (which is a RPPvP server) called "The Apocalyptic Consort"
bit of a tongue twister, but it's a nice hordey name with room for a lore to it.
the way we came up with it was we all thought of something we wanted in the name, and thats how it came together.

I am in a guild on Vashj-EU called "WEHAVEYOUONFARMSTATUSLOL", I get about five remarks a day about how funny the name is :) Quite happy with it.

First guild in World of Warcraft history with that name, but now others have used it. Check Armory if you do not believe me.
Story:
I was in the shower, thinking about the Priest (Which is now 70) that I was going to make come BC. I turned on the water, and it was FREEZING! I was going to be late for school since I turned off my alarm clock mid-sleep, and I had to bear through it. All I kept saying was, "Fuck fuck...Ok ok. Mind Over Matter...Mind over matter..." and then I figured that it was only appropriate. :D
