Let's play Combine-A-Class

We like to explore the hybrid role here at WoWInsider, but one player on the official forums has taken it to a whole new level. He asks a simple question: if you could combine two classes together into one uber class which would you choose?The possibilities aren't endless, but they are fascinating. You could take the defense of one class and mix it with the offense of another. Warrior grafted onto Warlock comes to mind. Or throw together two similar abilities for god mode: Shamadin invincibility anyone? Shadow Priest + Warlock would be high dps and hard to kill. Plus, think of the utility.
The combinations are fun to tinker with. So we ask you, faithful readers: If you could meld two WoW classes together into one, which two would you choose and why?

Mage+Warlock. Massive nukes, crazy DoTs, INCREDIBLE survivability, snappy clothes, cool pets, amazing mana efficiency.

Paladin + Mage.
All the ranged DPS you could ever want, and you can still laugh while Rogues try ineffectively to stab you.

Paladin+warlock, Plate armor, Heals, crazy dps, pets, great mana, Light+darkness= unkillable

A Lockadin... Plate + DoTs + pet + Bubble = pure pwnage.
That would be a Death Knight from Hell and a pain to kill. Definitely would fix the "issue were Warlocks are known to die" problem. LOL

Mage + Warrior
Tons of HP and damage mitigation, plus you can MS your own targets before nuking! Charge + Blastwave for hours of fun.
Though I'd also play a Magelock.

Paladin + Warrior = ULTIMATE PVP CLASS. A high DPS class that heals itself, bubbles, has shouts AND Auras, and is wanted for everything.

MS warrior/resto shaman
Earth shield yourself then charge in bloodlust/grounding/tremor totem with a big 2hander doing a triple windfury Mortal strike... dont see anything beating this monstrosity 1on1.

Some fun options there. Stealthing, stun-locking furyrogue? Infinite mana unsnareable boomlock? Arcane shadowmage? Aggro shedding shammyfeign?
Still got to vote for pally-something. Bubbles + healing + maybe plate + another class. Not going to beat that for overall yum.
The itemization on lockadin works out pretty well: warrior plate for stamina, pally tanking plate for stamina/+spell damage, normal lock gear. Other classes would gain more from being fused to pally, but that one would be darn dfficult to kill. Call it The Roach.
Gotta load up Guild Wars and do some pvp with my necromonk! You've not insulted a player until you turn his corpse into a Fountain of Blood which is aoe heal for your side.

I would combine a rogue with another rogue, creating a rogue that does twice as much damage and may actually be worth bringing along in raids and 5v5 arena.

Combining two classes into a superclass seems boring. The only reason any of this has relevance is because of class balance. A superclass would nuke ordinary players into oblivion, no matter what it was. You might as well fantasize about being level 80 in a level 70 world. Or level 100, for that matter.
