WoW Moviewatch: Nihilum vs. Essence of Souls
I don't care how you feel about Nihilum as a guild, this looks like a great fight. Props to the art folks at Blizz for the animations; this is definitely the coolest-looking boss I've seen in a while. One warning, though: the video is rather long. If you want to download the full 365-MB WMV version, head over to WarcraftMovies.

Cool looking boss but found its fighting animations to be rather dull to be honest..plain. But then again, how is a face to attack other then the way it did? Could have been more "effects" and such but..its a nice boss.
And a nice kill. Good work Nihilum.

Truly impressive.

Wow that attack animation is just.... obscene.

They must be all Swedish if they chose that music...
Grubbtubb Jun 11th 2007 1:13PM
Whats wrong with being swedish?

Well, that looked like a huge amount of fun, pity I'll never ever have to patience or desire to get that far into the game to do that.

I was trying to understand the different phases of the fight... does anyone have more details?
On phase 1, it seems that the healing spells are locked (kinda like the Loatheb fight). As for phase 2, if you look at the combat log, he seems to be taking 50% of the damage he deals to the boss every time he casts a spell. Phase 3 just seems to be a healing nightmare, I don't know what deals that much damage... must be some kind of aura or something.

Who said anything was "wrong" with being Swedish? All I was saying was Swedes love that kind of music more than other nationalities and this is further evidence pointing to Swede-domination in Nihilum. LOL (It kills me that you made the "something wrong" connection, not me!)
