The Dirtybishop hotfix

Well, that's not what Blizzard is calling this hotfix, but it's what everyone who's heard the story of rogue twink Dirtybishop would call it. While I have to admire the dedication of a level 19 who acquired Brooch of the Immortal King and Skyguard Silver Cross, I'd never want to run into such a player in the battlegrounds. And neither, apparently, does Blizzard. A hotfix applied today has made several Outland items require level 70 to equip:
Well, I'm sure it was fun while it lasted! And equally important to some, players should find their frame rates around the Blade's Edge Forge Camps to be greatly increased.

His guild Die Hard is one of the most twinked guild I've ever seen.
http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/#guild-info.xml?r=Blackrock&n=DIE+HARD&p=1
It's pure level 19 PVP with most toons having the exact same gear and enchants for each respective class (though DirtyBishop certainly takes the prize for twinkage.) I stand in awe...

LOL.
The fate of all twinks eventually, hopefully.
The moral of the story: Don't Twink, or people will laugh at you when you get nerfed...

They should let Dirtybishop keep ot thro, she worked hard for it and deverse it. Its a bit like that legnedary necklace that dropped in Mc once a billzard error and he got to keep it

You ever notice how its always Alliance that needs to go these extremes; low level over the top twinking? There was also some level 2 Rogue that had like some outrageous "dodge" rating too. I guess those that can - do, those that can't twink their Alliance alts.

I am against a grp of 19 pugs,new gamers,triying to have fun in early BG and getting aniquilated by twinks ,but im not against twinking itself.
Whats the diference between a 19 twink and a 70 tier6 raider?
that the twink might have a life LOL.
Anyway ,with the new BG matching system that doesnt happen,i dont see whats the problem with these,not much people is gona do that work to get the gear at 19 anyway,let the guy keep it since he worked so hard he really desevs it.

@3. Your abilities to troll could use some twinkage. Take it to the forums, loser.
Becca Jun 13th 2007 8:58PM
@3:
I've noticed that too. Several Alliance rogue twinks go out of their way to get above-average gear and nifty enchants, and STILL lose to the Horde.
I'm not big on twinks. I understand that some people tire of the game and decide to roll a little pink-haired gnome hellraiser, but I can't imagine spending all that time/money on a character, just to keep 'em at 19.

The guy didnt work hard for it. His guildmates did. He just stoof there getting the rep. I wish I could get a screenshot of his face when he read the hotfix notes, and discovered he lost his twink items. Hahahaha. That must have been priceless. I can imagine some kiddy throwing a tantrum.

Funny. On my Draenei Shammy, level 29 at the time, I went up against a group that included an Orc rogue with at least one crusader enchant. I know because, well, I saw it proc.
But the horde don't twink.
Leshrac Jun 13th 2007 10:27PM
As is the case with most servers, that being population numbers, Alliance outnumber Horde like 3:1, 4:1 - and their twinks outnumber Horde twinks 3:1, 4:1. Alliance have probably 4x more items in their AH versus Horde, I have chars in both factions - so its easier for Alliance to twink, and since there are players = more PVE opportunities and more chances to get enchants and have higher level players run them to get their AGM trinket. In spite of all of this the Alliance still loses consistently to Horde.
Mehrunes Jun 13th 2007 10:50PM
@10
Your logic there, that there are 3:1 or 4:1 of Ally vs. Horde and same thing with the twink thing makes sense. Due to the higher population of Ally, there will be higher twinks at the same ratio. If there were 3:1 or 4:1 Ally vs Horde and 8:1 or 9:1 twinks, then that would mean something...All you're saying is that the percentages are exactly the same, which is expected on any random sampling of a group study.
MartinC Jun 13th 2007 10:52PM
Yeah, it is kinda funny that you see so many more Alliance twinks than Horde, but Alliance still loses consistently in pvp19.
Twinkhealz Jun 14th 2007 12:14AM
I'm part of dirtys guild, he worked damn hard himself for the trinket, and was on another account farming just as hard as the rest of the guild(who were not only there to help him, but help themselves to get sha'tari rep to obtain flying faction mounts. As for seeing his face... its a look of joy, nerfed of not, that blizzard was beaten, not by exploits or hacks, but by hard work and determiation, as for horde beating ally in 19 brackets, make a ally toon, message anyone in die hard or b team or even AFK or DIE and ask for a group WSG, see how far you get... beat ally?.. haha you gotta be drunk to assume that.. the only way i can see a horde pug group win... is to exploit and wall jump and hide in unobtainable places and not fight fair...
My 2 cents!!
BLACKROCK TWINKS FOREVER!!!
rcdan Jun 14th 2007 1:45PM
Ally doesn't always lose to horde in the 19 bracket u dumbasses. Go roll a horde toon on underboge and be prepared to never win a match.
Quoi Jun 14th 2007 8:42AM
@13
He may well have worked hard, but it's all worthless anyway, GG.
Sevryn Jun 14th 2007 3:28AM
grats on ruining it for him with the publicity, i'm sure he worked hard for that trinket. i wish blizzard would better acknowledge twinking and not make mistakes like this where fixing them late wastes a lot of time for the people that worked hard to get it.
Savok Jun 14th 2007 6:25AM
You didn't see a 19 being able to wear a 70 epic trinket as wrong?
"its a look of joy, nerfed of not, that blizzard was beaten, not by exploits or hacks, but by hard work and determiation"
*snort*
Truly a heroic figure, this twink who sat on his arse tapping a button on a different account, while convincing other people to sit around, also tapping a button for him.
All to exploit a(n obvious) loophole that's now closed. Han Solo put it best, delusions of grandeur.
Rare Jun 19th 2007 1:55PM
Actually, the horde do twink, at least in europe anyway.
I recently rerolled hordeside and discovered the large, friendly and extremely well-established twink community: people had been twinking together for longer than a year in some cases.
Whatever your opinions on twinking, both sides do it, and to be honest it's some of the most fun I've had in WoW of late.
TonyM Jun 14th 2007 6:40AM
LOL, I remeber getting my head bitten off by a twink in the last article about how i said this was a waste of time and is getting nerfed soon, in some way shape or form. LOL. he who laughs last , laughs hardest. HA.
TonyM Jun 14th 2007 6:51AM
Sorry for double post , but if you look on the armory the trinkets are still equipped. It may just be slow to change or she hasn't logged on yet, but maybe blizzard wont nerf the the trinkets already in circulation?
Weird stuff.
