Arena Season 2 rewards from the Public Test Realms

Thanks to our friends at MMO-Champion, we have an early look at the armor sets, weapons and possibly new mount rewards coming in the next content patch. Notes of interest:- Weapons have the same graphic (so far) of Season 1 rewards
- Season 1 armor rewards have been reduced in cost
- New armored mounts are in the art files, but not listed as rewards yet

There's already an outcry that the Mage set has its entire (new) budget put into armor value rather than damage and/or stats. In fact, the Mage set has more AC than the Rogue set.
I'd be very interested to hear Blizzard's reasoning for this.

An elekk? You've got to be kidding me. If blizzard ever fixes the clipping issues I wouldn't have such a problem with that problematic mount (IT FREAKING EATS MY LEGS!).

@#1, I remember a post/discussion when TBC hit about the loss of mitigation at level 70 compared to level 60, due to the lack of armor on items. for example, at level 60 you might have had like 20% mitigation whereas at level 70, you had only 15%. I also remember a blue posting that this was unintended.
could this new itemization be the fix for it?

The mounts should make the battlegrounds a little more popular. I hope they change their screwed up decision to not allow players to get the riding skill for free or they destroyed the whole reason to grind for them.
They all look like land mounts. Too bad. If they really wanted to make battlegrounds and Arena popular they need to allow you to purchase an epic flying mount + free riding skill. It's really messed up that they didn't give free riding skill to the arena teams that finish in the top 0.5%.
They should make the epic pvp reward flying mounts cost like 100 tokens from each battlegroup + 1000g. Sounds fair to me.

If they throw out new arena weapons with new stats every 3 month ... and we speak about how many weapons ? ... I can fully understand they do not new models for them every time.

I'm not too dissapointed by the same weapon looks, sometimes its nice to have a recognizable weapon. My only gripe is that the gladiator's spellblade could look a little more spiffy. I prefer the look of something like the Continuum blade over the spellblade... but the stats don't compare. However the caster staff looks great with the red crystals and such.
Maybe Season 3 will have some new graphics? If they are just basically gonna recolor the other tiered sets for arena then maybe we can get a little art-love on the weapons.
@ 4 Last I checked they didn't "need" to make the arena popular, it is. Free epic flight training? LOL. How about a free spell that gives you 1,000xp every time you cast it? Or a transmute rough stone to gold coins? 1,000g is not too hard to get in the outlands - and blizzard has REPEATEDLY stated that epic mounts are supposed to be somewhat challenging to get. If you made the training 1,000g everyone would have one in 7-10 days even if they started out only 2g and some cured ham steaks.
Maybe it was your broken I.W.I.N button I picked up in AV? Sounds like you want it back.

i'm tired of blizzard pressing the easy button for mounts, I find having a unique mount is nice to have, rather then everyone riding thier same class mount.
So when the game first came out, I grinded Runecloth into Stormwind and got my horse (LEGITLY) as I am a Night Elf. Then the AV rewards came out. Get Any mount you want for some shitty tokens, so every noob and thier grandmother rode around on horses/rams.
Well sad to say BC came out and I grinded Exodar rep recently to get myself an elephant. It's even still early in the game that only a select few have done the work to get the new mount. Even when I mount up in instances/towns I get tells like "Omfg, an elekk, wtf"
But yet again blizzard has decided that every 8 year old in the game would love an elekk, and those of us who actually grinded for it, can go off and QQ, becuase blizzard once again makes the game easier.
I'm glad they actually look different, just like the horses from rep/AV rep (blue eyes on rep, pink on the AV rep) But still, your gonna end up with like 80% of alliance riding elekks.
I have an idea, why don't you hit the fucking easy button on flying mounts, so I can ride a dragon FFS
