Finally, no more loot click hunting
There's one little mostly unseen note in the 2.1 patch notes that has quietly been making players' lives easier for the past few weeks. Hidden way down inside the "User Interface" section, we find this: "Active corpses or objects (ones with loot on them) now can be selected and looted, even if they are underneath another corpse that does not have loot on it."We've all been in that situation before 2.1, where we were fighting, and had to deal with adds that died in almost exactly the same place, and then had to slowly move your looting cursor over the whole area, looking for that tiny little section in which it went from black and white to color, just so you could look that few silver and bit of trash from it. Nowadays, in these enlightened 2.1 times, we can simply loot at will, and life is good.
Of course, it's not perfect-- I still can't target anything through walls, and that's a known bug. But it is very nice to see that one simple sentence in the patch notes, and know that I never again have to hunt around for a tiny point of contact just to loot a piece of junk.

Nice change :-)
Can you pick herbs that mobs die on top of now? That can be pretty annoying.
And similar topic, but different behavior... it'd be nice if a hill slope is too steep to stand on that corpses would slide down it as well. I can't tell you how many times my pet has chased something down a vertical cliff, they re-engage mid-cliff and before I can pull my pet back, the mob dies in the middle of the cliff and i can't loot it. (Even had this happen in the outlands, where I couldn't land my flying mount on a spot to loot).

Yeah that's a nice change. I'd always yell at my boyfriend when he aoe pulls to move back a few steps after one mob dies so they don't all end up in one pile. Yesterday I had to yell at him to stop moving :)

Now if they can just do something about "corpse who died halfway up a slope"

Hmm, there must be an echo in here :)

Somebody please answer this for me though... Why can you not skin a creature until it's been FULLY looted? It's really annoying when you don't have bag space... It'd be nice to have the ability to drag directly from the loot window to the foreground to destroy something (you still can't do this right?), or have there be a check box to remove remaining loot in the loot window or something.
Comeon blizz... Keep improving things... I almost have what I want.

I always wonder how WoW can have accomplished such a huge technical feat in programming, having so many people at once on a realm that is divided across multiple servers, minimising perceivable network latency, etc, etc, and then they can't/won't fix these little things. Surely at one point during testing, one tester A turned to tester B and remarked that he couldn't loot a mob because it was obscured by another mob.
And what's the deal with scripted sequences in WoW... it seems every event they add ALWAYS has bugs in it - the reset after wiping on Rend, the boss event at the end of Arcatraz, the chess event in Kara.
