WoW Moviewatch: A Ballad of Fire
I'm not a big fan of PvP videos as I'm not a big fan of PvP. But this video really sucked me in. Shazra, a Mage on the European servers wanted to put together a piece showcasing what a Fire-based mage could do. She impressed me in many ways with this piece.
First, she opened with a 90 second story. Yes, boys and girls, you heard me right: a narrative based open to a PvP video! Next, her use of music is excellent. And finally, the quick close ups of her cooldowns finishing let the viewer know what was going to happen next. Great use of anticipation for a budding filmmaker.
For more information about the video, Shazra posted the backstory to the narrative open on the European forums. Also, in the credits of the video she lists her spec, her addons/UI and what video tools she used. And don't forget to watch the bonus clip after the credits. Crazy good stuff. Give us more, Shaz!

Normally I don't like RP, but I thought the intro was well done.
Anyone know the mods the player is using?

Oh, the intro music is truly beautiful! Can anyone tell me what track that is?
I'm not a fan of PvP, and neither of PvP videos, but as RPer I absolutely love that beginning :)Well done!

@1 From what i can see straight away his mods are
ag unit frames CyCircled (thats for the circular buttons) also hes got Atlas, and most likely Bongos. Highly useful to select what buttons u want where etc.
Thats all i can say to be honest:)
Otherwise really good movie! Loved it, Very good demonstration of how Horde overpower Alliance XD.

Scratch out what I last wrote! If you watch it unto the very end in the credits it shows what mods he has used:) it is indeed cycircled but with bartender not bongos!

Well the intro music sucked me in.
Then the rest of the music (and overall boringness) coupled with the constant far zoom low edit quality really pushed me away.
Better luck next time.

The thing that flashes his newly cooldowned (is that even a word?) spells in the middle of the screen is called "Jim's Cooldown Pulse"

So, for a complete add-on newb, how would I get those nifty messages such "You gain blazing speed." or such to appear?

I am baffled, is she on a 2v2 team by herself?

The music from the intro is without a doubt Yuki Kajiura, composer of both .hack//SIGN and Tsubasa Chronicle (The latter which sucked and don't recommend for anyone.) Her music all has the same sound to it, violin/piano/techno weird stuff, but good. I however don't recognize this exact track, but be part of the newer Tsubasa Chronicle OST.
Either way, I highly recommend any of her stuff.
