Around Azeroth: Say hello to Knucklerot
Cynnamun of Shadow Council sends in this shot of the deceased Knucklerot, elite wanderer of the Blood Elf starting area Ghostlands. You may think he looks awfully creepy dead, but trust me, he's just as bad alive. As far as wandering elites go, he's not as bad as Stitches (which is to say players in the upper-end of the zone's range can kill him), but he's certainly capable of stomping you if you aren't paying attention.

The worst for me was always the Sons of Arugal in Silverpine. They appear out of nowhere to munch on level 12 players and they're 20+ elite.

His cousin stitches in Duskwood was my personal vendetta. I made sure I spilled his blood on the paths of Duskwood. Whats the story with his power? He appears to be MUCH stronger than your average 35 elite.

Imagine you get a level 16 quest to walk to a place.
You start walking. You turn a corner and a 20 Elite is staring at you.
Smack, boom, you dead. That was a pretty mean thing to have the elite on the road. Like some developer thought it would be hilarious.

Sometimes, when I had my BE pally, and got bored, I'd look for him and his associate. I'd solo him (though, admittedly, just barely made it out alive) and constantly get knocked back by an incredible amount, enough to have an uninterrupted healing spell be cast on me to fully get me back into fighting shape before I started wailing on him again.
The only problem with this, is that sometimes, he'd knock me back into aggro ranged of several other mobs, so I had to run away before Knucklerot blocked out the only non-mobbed open space from me. Thank goodness for limited aggro range (not like those mean ol' instances, lol).

Agree with Poster #1. Son Of Arugal, level 25 roaming elites in a level 10-20 zone? It's just retarded. Plus the geography of Silverpine means it's almost impossible to see them coming.
When I was a brand new newbie priest, I died about 25 times to Son Of Arugal, before someone took pity on me and told me to go level in The Barrens instead.
