Blue Notes: PvP trinkets, Mage S2 armor, Focused Mind
For a short time, the PvP trinkets were able to dispel the Warlock DoT Unstable Affliction. This was quickly hotfixed:A hot fix has been applied. Unstable affliction cannot be removed by using Horde or Alliance PvP medallion trinkets.
Shamans were in a bit of a tizzy over their talent Focused Mind, which reduces the duration of silence or interrupt effects used against the Shaman by 15% (not to be confused with the Priest talent Focused Mind, which reduces the mana cost of several Shadow spells). The problem is that the talent doesn't stack with other effects that provide the same bonus, which now include the Paladin Improved Concentration Aura (30%) as well as the Pendant of the Lost Ages from Serpentshrine Cavern (20%). Blizzard is looking into it:
Hi there,
sorry for the late answer, I confirm you that Focus Mind is being reviewed.
And the Mage Arena Season 2 armor, which famously has less Intellect on it than their Season 1 armor, is also getting investigated:
We've been able to identify what went wrong and the stats for the Mage Season 2 items are being corrected in a future patch.

Why no trinkets for Unstable Affliction? Do Warlocks really need more buffs? Seriously...

Because UA does not remove control of your character or impair your movement, fool. That's like saying why doesn't the trinket remove hunter's mark. It was a bug, and it got fixed.

I'm guessing because you were never supposed to be able to trinket out of a DoT. I don't see how fixing something that was broken is a "buff" to locks.
Hell, being able to trinket out of deathcoil is huge.

Being able to trinket out of sap and blind is even better than DC.
Rich Jun 22nd 2007 7:27PM
Why bother trinketing out of DC? By the time you realize you've been DC'd its over...

Notice that if it's a warlock unintended nerf it's hotfixed right away.
Anyone else? Even an issue they knew about BEFORE the patch went live? Hmm.

1. Hmm, and mages' CLOTH armor keeps its higher armor rating than the leather-set?
Guess it is made of high quality cloth while the manufacturer only uses the cheap leather in the leather-edition...
2. Only horror-effects can not removed by the pvp-trinket?
Congratulations Warlocks!
3. DOTs are not affacted by resilience?
Ah, I know, they can not crit. But why is resilience increasing with each set and the DOTs keep their strength?
Once again: Congratulations Warlocks!
Don't get me wrong, I like PVP. But the balancing has to be improved - unless you are playing a Warlock, of course.

What the hell? What do they mean? Did someone at the office trip over and mash the keyboard, and spend all the item budget on armour? It is not like that is believably an accident or oversight.
They could at least say "our bad", and not try to pass it off as some bug.

@7 you must play a warrior or some other class I can solo, naked, in WSG.
Grats bad players.

@ 7.
You seem to be confused. Look up Death Coil, then look up Unstable Affliction. They are different.
