The coolest quest

And so, in my quest to level my warlock, I found myself soaring high above the lakes of Zangarmarsh, transformed into bird-form for the quest As the Crow Flies. Not ever having had a high level druid, I haven't known the thrill of flapping my own wings traveling through the sky. At least not until now.
There are so many fascinating quests in WoW it's hard to pick one. Up until I rolled a Draenei, I wouldn't have been able to put a finger on my favorite quest. Once I learned the furbolg language and took of in search of the Totem of Yor, I was won over completely. For the moment that is by far my favorite quest.
But I haven't experienced everything in the game. All my Horde characters are below level 25, so I don't know the quest lines for that faction all that well, but I am sure there are some wonderful ones awaiting my shadow priest in It came from the Blog whenever I get her to that level. I would love to hear what you would vote as the coolest quest in the game so far. Is there one particular quest I should look out for as the ultimate in cool?

I would say that my favorite quest has been the 'end of the draenei newbie area' quest where you and a group take down the big bad blood elves' main boss.
Coming back to Blood Watch, turning in the quest, and walking outside to find all the 'friends' you have made on your way of questing in the new land waiting to cheer for you is great. You may replace the quest rewards later in your leveling, but I bet you'll always remember that scene.
Continuity for the win!

my favorite quest so far has been A Threat Within

excellent reward, and so much fun!
it took me over an hour to complete the first time i did it, though. i guess you just get better with experience.

@1 Absolutely gets my vote.
I loved that quest... It was a bit of shock to see so many characters all gathered to honor me, but I was 'not prepared' to see that they were all NPC's I had spent 20 levels doing quests for.
Love the Dreanei zone...:) Come to think of it, turns out I like the Draenei race a lot more than I ever thought I would. Tx Blizz.

I have to agree on that front. That quest is extraordinary. No starting area in the game, shy the Ghostlands; offers such colorful content and NPCs alike, culminating in a congratulations by all the people you met along the way. Very, very awesome.
I have to agree with Amanda about the Furbolg quest chain. I originally started it expecting it to be extremely boring; but it progressed amazingly, showing you the island in the way only WOW could. As a shadow panther and a underwater reigning king; levitating through the air in search of your next goal. Amazing chain, worthy of extreme congratulation- and an example of how colorful all quest chains SHOULD be.

I love doing the warlock dreadsteed quest. For those of you who haven't been lucky enough to do it, you defend against continous waves of imps and felguards. After a certain period of time you actually have to fight and kill your dreadsteed and his current doomguard owner. After that you talk to the spirit of the dreadsteed (not to mention the free riding skill you get with it, and that the dreadsteed goes in your spellbook and not in your inventory like other mounts)

Booterang!

By far, the best is the Nagrand Thrall quest chain, where you learn about Thrall's history and put an end to Garrosh Hellscream's QQing (at least until the scripted event is over).

I prefer the ones where you ride on a Nether Drake - there's at least one in Nagrand and Netherstorm. Still saving up for epic flying >_

Stalvan Mistmantle.
I still don't completely understand the questline, because I try to zoom through Duskwood, but I like that Blizz took the "horror" motif of the zone and added a murder mystery.
I'll have to try to slow down on my little warrior guy and figure it out. Have fun and try to ignore the goings on in Guild Chat.

Not much more need be said after #1's post. That was indeed a very cool moment in questing. It was like a Draenei version of "this is your life".
Second on my list would be "Saving Sharpbeak". It's a long chain that takes you though ZF (and I think ST as well), but the final moment makes it all worthwhile. Seeing Sharpbeak's parents fly in to meet him, and then all of them fly off together is really moving.

My favorite is "The Fel and the Furious"
http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=10612
In this quest, you get to wreak havoc for 5 minutes with a fel reaver.

Booterang FTW! Nothing better than throwing things at people to make them move thier lazy asses, especially Fel Orcs.

Another vote for booterang.

"Why do you chase me, Mechanical Yeti? Why?!?"

I forget the name of the quest... but it takes a solid 5 man group of 70's to complete. You fly out to where this demon is (SMV maybe) and you have to defeat him. Only thing is, this guy has an insane amount of HP, like a raid boss. BUT, I remember my fireballs were hitting him for nearly 10k because of the debuff on the guy. It was really fun hitting anything for so much damage. And it took a lot of paying attention NOT to pull aggro. Very fun and unexpected quest.

Two words.
Mankrik's Wife.

Into the Soulgrinder (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11000) is very cool. Not so much the quest, but the reception you receive upon compelting it! All the orgres bowing down to you as king really threw me off when I first completed it. Make sure you go down and mingle and drink a lot of their beer! Then get on your mount and try to fly. You can then drink their coffee to sober up. A nice side effect is all the ogres in Blade's Edge become neutral with you and if you "/dance" or "/wave" with them, they'll do the same back!
Already mentioned: booterang. I mean c'mon. With classic lines like these, how can you not vote for this one:
"Work is da POOP! Me no wanna"
"Why it put da booterang on da skin?? Why??"
"AYAYA! One day me have dat booterang"
Nagrand Greatmother/Thrall chain gets my vote for best lore quest.

I really enjoyed the Epic Flight form quest line. It not only teaches you a lot about where druids came from, but it also challenges all your aspects as a druid. One quest has you take on a boss that requires the endurance of bear form. Another is a DPS race using cat form. The third is a fight against a physical immune boss that must be rooted and nuked. One part is a chase through a river in aquatic form. It was quite possibly the most fun I've had as a druid. The final reward is pretty nice, too.

The Alliance quest line in BRD that ends with seeing Lady Prestor revealed as Onyxia herself inside Stormwind Keep is my favorite. It's long and fairly difficult (Jailbreak!) but walking through Stormwind as every NPC bows before you on the way to the Keep is just SO satisfying when you get to do it for the first time.
Also seeing lowbies get pulverized if they're too close to the fight with Ony's guards is always good for a few laughs!

@5
Nothing makes me happier in WoW today than that the Booterang quest is daily. I look forward to it every time I head down to grind Netherwing.
Also, does anyone else make sure they fly low and stick around for the peon quotes?
"Someday me have that booterang!"
"ARGH!! BOOTERANG!!!"
Sure, not the coolest, but by far the one I am enjoying right now.
