Around Azeroth: An underwater tomb
Yrael of Darkspear (EU) sends in this shot of an underwater tomb in Lake Sunspring in Nagrand. I find the chains to be especially ominous. Why, after all, would you need to chain a tomb down? However, I can't find any specific lore on this little artifact, so its origin and purpose remains a mystery.

There is a horde quest related to the bigass water element that spawns on top of that underwater tomb.

I've seen a few of these tombs/altars around that are seemingly useless. It's kind of creepy.

Yay! My pic! (I'm Yrael in case you hadnt guessed).
I just found it while questing and thought it might have some lore behind it. Apparently not.

Judging by the skeleton, it looks more like an altar to me. Sacrifice to an element?

I belive this is not a tomb, but a sacrificial alter. The chains are to hold the target to the alter, to limit boyancy issues.
:) Just a guess.

Actually, all the other items like this are called alters, such as the one(s) in Blades Edge Mountains.

that's a drain, not a tomb!

Right, I'd think the bones on top would tip you off to the fact that it's a sacrificial altar.
