Most popular hunter pets according to Petopia
No, they don't have precise stats from the game, but Mania does let us know what the most visited pages on Petopia are -- and considering Petopia is the definitive resource for Hunter pets available on the internet, I'd say that their data has value. While Mania doesn't give us a full listing of pets, he tells us that the most-visited pet page belongs to the Ghost Saber and that the number two spot belongs to the game's only black lion, Humar the Pridelord. And the award for least-popular pet? It looks like that goes to the Webwood Lurker in Teldrassil. (And now I'm tempted to go tame one just so they won't be so lonely.)

Awww, a Webwood Lurker was my hunter's first pet. Kept him until 44 when I decided to get a raptor...now I feel bad for letting my spider go...

I'm surprised that the Ghost Saber is just getting popular. It was one of my first pets as was an owl on my Troll hunter not to long after launch. Still, it is a really cool pet and Unique which is the best part about being a hunter.
Who's up for more Ghost skinned tameable pets?

According to WoW's "Most Dangerous Creatures" List:
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/toplist/index.html?en,killedby
1. Voidwalker
2. Felguard
3. King Bangalash
4. Water Elemental
10. Felhunter
King Bangalash is far and away the most popular hunter pet in the game. Next on the list is another cat, "Blackwind Sabreguard" at #34.

Everytime my hunter sees a Razorfen platemail boar he is sad an apllies another layer of wound ointment to his Eastern Plaguelands boar's never healing scars.
But then again another hunters Razorfen boar leveled from level 29 to 31 over the span of 4 Karazhan bosses...

Thanks for the link! Keep in mind that this just shows what people who use Petopia are looking at -- I imagine that the happy hunters who are completely satisfied with their pet aren't browsing quite so much.
One tiny, tiny little correction: I am in fact female. It's not a big deal, but if I don't clarify that it will probably confuse people the next time I mention my husband. *grin*
