Your daily dose of questing
It's been a while since the daily quests were introduced with patch 2.1 on the live servers now, and most players have had time to at least give them a try. So what do you think?Personally, I really like them-- it gives me a chance when I log in to spend just a few minutes picking up a nice, guaranteed chunk of gold and rep. When we first heard about them, hardcore players were unhappy that they'd be forced to follow a daily schedule, but ten daily quests seems like a lot to do a day anyway (especially when you consider everything else there is to do in-game), and most hardcore players have probably finished all the daily quest rep grinds anyway-- I know a few of my guildies already have all the mounts and rewards available.
Have you not touched the daily quests yet, or do you do them every day? And which ones are you all working on-- I've liked the Fires over Skettis eggsplosion quest (and I get better at dodging those dumb birds every day that I do it), but I'm looking forward to staring up the Netherwing herbalist quest next. How are daily quests working out for you?

Is there a list of daily quests somewhere? I've been interested in doing some of them, but have no clue where to start.
Just a quick run down of where they are would be great.

I completed the Netherwing rep grind and have moved onto Skettis. I'm surprised Skettis didn't have more dailies, but it's no big deal--I just grind the Arakkoa for 5 rep a piece and soul dust. Good place to level pets, too.

The dailies are a great way to make some cash. As a tank, my repair bills are costing me 2.66g/death and climbing as I gear up. My main can be a sugar daddy to my alts now, buying them new items, crafting materials and mounts as needed. And the netherdrake mount is just cool.
If the hardk0r3 players don't like them, they don't have to do them, but it gives us more casual players a chance to make some cash.

I did the skettis and ogri'la dailies up to exalted with both, which got me the money for my epic riding skill. Now I'm starting on the Netherwing quests and my gold is climbing back up quickly.
The dailies are great for when you're on stand-by for a raid.

As far as i'm aware, there isn't really a list...
But there are 3 factions with daily quests available for you.
Netherwing: These will make available to you a total of 9 daily quests at Revered, fewer at earlier levels. You can only complete EITHER ore gathering or herb gathering, or it would be 10. All of the daily quests themselves are available on Netherwing Ledge except for the one to defend the aldor or scryer towns, which start at the towns after you pick up the introductory quests.
Sha'tari Skyguard: These guys have daily quests both up by Skettis and over by Ogri'la. I don't know how many total, but by Ogri'la they have two.
Ogri'la: The ogres require a bit of work to start, and only offer a few daily quests (only one before Honored, at which point i have two now). However, the Skyguard quests next door will also give Ogri'la rep, so you can grind both factions at once. I hadn't intended to grind Skyguard at all and i'm farther along in their rep than i am in Ogri'la. :P For a druid tank like myself, the taste of a Depleted Badge is too tantalizing to pass up. Plus the darkrune event is hella fun.
For each of these factions, you can look them up on wowwiki.com to get a list of available quests.

I just don't get why we're limited to 10... And the amount of gold rewarded for the quests is totally OP. I finished my Netherwing grind with over 5000g.

I did it the other way around; I had my epic flying skill and did Netherwing first. It went very fast and made me a good deal of money. I'm onto Skettis and Ogri'la now, but don't plan on getting to exalted. I got the slow-fall cloak from Skettis (revered) but don't want their mount. The only good thing (for me) from Ogri'la is the bow, but I'll get something better from a kara run.

I hate them to be honest. I did them for quite a bit, but I became burnt out on them as soon as I started doing the Netherwing quests.
They are for the most part horrible. A lot of the same, Kill x mobs, gather x items (with a 25% or less drop rate). There were a few good ones: the booterang and racing quests (not daily). Other than that, it brought me close to quitting.
The Blade's Edge quests are for the most part awesome. Drop bombs, do Simon, collect 5 (such a small number for WoW) nether rays, and kill 15 demons, (pretty easy given the number of them).
A little disappointed with how few Skettis quests there are. But the two there are good, imo. Although, the escort quest reward nerf was horrible.
The daily quests are good, if you steer clear of most of the netherwing ones.

In general, I like them. The Ogrila/Skyguard ones are easy, I can do all of them during my hour lunch break. Now that I'm exalted with Skyguard and don't really care so much about Ogrila, I've been working on the Netherwing ones. They take substantially more time, and the grinding involved really stinks. Not as much fun as the Ogrila/Skyguard ones.

I just started them recently. I really like the bombing run in Blades Edge, those cannons are nasty if you're on a non-epic flyer!

FYI, there's a minor escort quest you can do in Skettis, too, for the same amount of gold and rep plus you get 2 Volatile Healing or 2 Unstable Mana Potions. It's not terribly hard if you clear a bit before hand. You don't have to guard him all they way back to the camp.

As a casual who can really only play 60-90 min a day, the dailies are nice. Right now, it's a guaranteed 50g for about 15 min worth of work. It allows me to spend more time farming netherweave and prison keys.
The only thing I wish you could do is instead of doing only doing the daily once per day, if you do as many of them as you want in any combination, up to 10 a day.

Just one more thing Blizz added to the grind.
Note to self: daily quest - check, farm motes - check, grind rep - check.
They may only take a few minutes (plus the travel time from zone to zone) but it gets boring to do the same old thing day in and day out.
Corrodias Jul 11th 2007 2:35PM
Well, you know, if you don't like them... don't do them. If you're concerned that they didn't add more content that you can only do once, well, they're working on that, too, i'm sure.

Daily Quests = $$
rick gregory Jul 11th 2007 2:49PM
well... they're nice for quick gold. You don't have to farm, post on AH and wait, so if you need guaranteed gold, they're nice. The rewards bite, at least for me (rogue enchanter/LW) and I don't really covet the Skyguard mount. And the Netherwing quests require 300 riding, which I don't have... I'd love to see more broadly interesting rewards added... but hey, gold doesn't suck.

Daily questing and mining are the two paths I have chosen to some day get my epic flying mount.
Noobies Jul 11th 2007 2:52PM
With daily quests I can't complain about huge repair bills. The only problem I see is a huge influx of gold into the economy without any means to balance it. The cost of enchanting mats have gone up lately, herbs are more expensive now since people prefer to spend an hour doing daily quests for 120g+ instead of farming stupid herbs or ore for sale.
From other side, not many people bother to farm ore/herbs, so I can find what I need easilly.
