Around Azeroth: The Pools of Aggonar
Reader Paul sends in this nice areal shot of the corpse of Aggonar located in the Pools of Aggonar in Hellfire Peninsula. When the Pit Lord Aggonar died here, his demonic aura quickly corrupted the pools, which were once a sacred site to the Draenei.

aerial shot? or did you really mean "large vacant level stretch of ground" shot.... which does seem ironically appropriate.

See, what the Dranei need to do is get a Hazmat team in there and clean it up! Six to ten flatbeds could haul that sword away, and then it's just a matter of getting a crane in there and going bone by bone, lift them out to the road and haul them away.
Fortunately, you don't even need to designate a Hazmat dumping ground. Just pull the stuff over to the edge of the world (spec ops security team to keep the void monsters at bay) and tip it over! Off into the void the monster-bits go, and then we can get to work on replacing the contaminated water and topsoil in the pools themselves.

Is it just me or has every single "Holy Place" in WoW Lore become irrevocably corrupted due to demonic, magical, or really stupid mortal influences? I mean, really? WC in Barrens, Sunken Temple, Zul'Farrak, The Shrine in Felwood with the satyrs, the Scarlet Monastary, Auch, BFD in Ashenvale, Oshu'gun in Nagrand, the Black Temple...
I could go on and on and on... Hell, most of our instances are based around corrupted holy sites.
