Im unfamilar with the AV battleground, so I may not be the best to comment on this.

It seems like Blizz could add a certain area on the map a player must visit to be "marked" to receive honor. After that the player must do X amount of damage to recieve full honors for the map. Im not sure if that would even be possible but it looks good on paper. :)
