Curse previews WSVG on CBS

Right now, as Curse says, Team Pandemic is the team to watch in Arena matchups, but word is that Insurrection and a couple of other teams will make a showing as well. Supposedly, only 3v3 will be shown, which is a little strange because Blizzard seems to be promoting 5v5 as the standard for Arena play (you actually gain more points in game for winning at 5v5), but maybe CBS figured having ten players in one match would be a little too confusing. Of course the big question will be how it's presented-- will CBS be able to make a so far practically unwatchable event interesting enough to pull in a larger audience? Find out on July 29th.

CBS Sports? That's pretty high profile. I figured this would be on ESPN 8 (The Ocho).

Waitasecond ... I'm gonna be able to watch a 3v3 tourney with my tv? Which is only hooked up to a DVD player and a piece of coaxial cable with a tinfoil satellite dish at the other end? And on the channel I actually pick up best, no less?
Awesome!
Actually, 5v5 ought to be shown. If twenty-two football players isn't a problem for CBS Sports, then ten nerds should be a breeze.
All things aside, I'm really counting my blessings. The new Target opens that day, and I'll have a car by them, and my father will have left ... thank you CBS for taking a big risk and putting the icing on the cake to a day I was already looking forward to for other reasons.
(Maybe they figure that since we play WoW, we spend the money on our subscriptions to that and not on cable?)

I'm looking forward to the Target opening, too (you must be in MN, too, then), but I really want to see this. Might even have to drag out the VCR for recording (no DVR yet for me) if I can't be around to watch it.

Sorry, I would much rather watch a GH2 tournament then a couple of snooze fest arena matches.

Actually, I'm in Louisiana. It's the habit of large retailers to open multiple locations on the same day.

Cool beans, imo. Even if it's not the best, it's still a step in the right direction. ESPN U did have a video-game esque show where they'd have high ranking people in the "respective fields" would play it out, though I'm fairly sure each and every single game was sports in nature. MTV had a True Life, something to the affect of "I'm payed to play games" or some such that followed around some Halo 2 brat who got sponsered and had a team that played in tournies and such.
Let's hear it for a bit of WoW hitting the small screen (though who wouldn't love a WoW version of Clone Wars?).
