i recently completed the ravenholdt grind on my paladin main (by basicallyhaving my rogue alt pilfer lockboxes for 2 hours a day for 40 days...) and here's a few things to consider:

1. if someone else is on a faction grind, you can make WAY more cash selling them the lockboxes than turning them in yourself. i've seen 1g per box as a pretty standard rate. you need about 2500-2800 boxes til exalted. it can add up.

2. if you're an enchanter, you can make more money DE'ing the throwing knife and combining the lesser eternal essences into a greater one and selling tha ton the AH (usually for 9-12g.)
