Excellent synopsis. I will add one thing. As a hunter, sometimes I intentionally will grab aggro and start kiting something if things are hairy. Melee mobs that move slow and are snare-able are ones I can hold for quite some time. This is mostly true of heroics where negating 100% of 1 mob's damage can help immensely.

If its inadvertent and the mob isn't going to die before he reaches me, I'm Wing Clip jousting it right back to the tank.
