Prise on Lightning's Blade (EU) sends in this amazing shot from the interior of Serpentshrine Cavern, right where Hydross the Unstable would be, if he were still alive when this screenshot were taken. Prise explains that the blue rays do figure-eights around the two columns -- and I'm thinking a still screenshot doesn't do the place justice.

One thing I really appreciate in newer instances of all sorts is that Blizz really took time to make them places that are visually pleasant for the most part.
One of the reasons I hated raiding MC back in the day was that it was like staring into a hole for three hours at a time. Most of the grouped instaces, scholo, strat, BR spire, etc, were not great either.
