2.2 features numerous sound bugs. They changed the sound engine to something that seems rather half-baked, so even if voice chat were in you could expect long delays.(The new one seems to be entirely software based, bypassing sound-card acceleration entirely. Thats nothing new for Vista users, as Vista already does that to avoid Windows crashes caused by buggy Creative drivers. XP users with good sound cards may notice performance drops though.)
